Thanks for the quick reply.  You mentioned only Terrace and Waves are open for lunch.  The GDR isn't open on embark day?

If cabin is ready we drop our bag put stuff in the safe  then head  up for coffee

 

Waves & The Terrace are usually the only venus open for lunch on boarding day

If you have not  been on O before  you may want to explore the ship

make spa appts 

upgrade the beverage package if you drink

First time sailing on O and we will be in a suite.  Can we drop off our carry on luggage before heading to lunch? 

Do you pack your wine and hard liquor in your suitcase or carry it own?

They do leave some tables open  for those that do not book online

We were planning to go to the Brewery last week.  Hopefully, you will hear from your friends soon.  We had limited cell service while we were on the west side of Maui.

We just got home after spending a week on the west side of Maui.  On Tuesday there were very strong winds and the electricity went out early in the morning. The power to our condo was eventually restored late Saturday evening.  We had limited cell service.

On the way to the airport we got a glimpse of Lahaina and saw the devastation.

Yes you get to pick but it might not be your 1st choice .   Depends on the ship.

On the Sun, I ended up with a BD.  On the Jewel a BA. Available cabins also matters . I ask what's the highest available.

 

No afts!!  Keep in mind your fare is considered complimentary so if you want to upgrade, it won't work.  Now bidding was not around back then so I do not know if you can.

Hi Steve, I looked into this last year for a balcony cabin.  I was told that I couldn't add on any free at sea promotions and ended up cashing in a lot of my points.  I still have more than enough for another balcony cabin.

I just received my Cruise Vacation Guide.  It was a nice surprise as I wasn't expecting anything.  Very helpful for a newbie on O.

@Sthrngary  Wow! That is really a detailed list of the suite amenities. You definitely done your research.  I tried to find out information, but didn't even get close to what you discovered.  Not only is this helpful to me, but I'm sure other newbies will appreciate all your information.  I'm getting more and more excited to sail on Oceania. Yes, I have read your Haven Secrets and you list some really good points. I guess we been lucky and always had good butlers. Can’t complain as we got very spoiled on our cruises.

We will be sailing in a PH2 suite.
