  1. Double checking here - I just read on the other social media site that the Starbucks app is no longer able to be used, as of last week. Anyone on board now who could corroborate? Please confirm any details, as I promised my son a healthy Starbucks budget (but less than a package budget) as a reward for tolerating the mere presence of his endlessly indulgent parents. Cheers!
  2. Oh that hot tub rule actually made me laugh out loud
  3. I was on the Getaway and the smoke smell from the casino was horrendous. It was the main thing that pushed me to book the Prima.
  4. 😯😯😯😯 Omg I would be endlessly delighted if this were true 🤞
  5. I drink a couple yeti tumblers of icy cold water every night. I'm used to our steward bringing ice in when they come to do the sleeper sofa at night, but if they aren't doing ice, I'll just fill an extra yeti myself with ice from the buffet machine. It's no big deal, I just want to know ahead of time.
  6. In every hotel I've stayed in lately, there's been a cart of "help yourself" towels in the hall, and one even had a large trash bin in the hall to empty your own trash. Wouldn't it make sense to have these on board now with the service cuts, as well as a help-yourself ice machine on every deck? How are people getting ice at night with these changes?
  7. Curious if this is a full charter, or a partial charter like the Soca group? Honestly I'd prefer Irish dance to the Soca group, in terms of family friendliness.
  8. Thanks for your perspective! I'm not solo, we're a family with a teenager, and this isn't a group of realtors, it's a music festival with several artists on board, promising on-ship performances and parties. It's also a branch of performers that has had pretty intense 21+ full chartered cruises annually. But this is not a full chartered cruise, obviously.
  9. That's definitely not what I read from blogs and reviews of people actually attending Uber Soca cruises, so I'm happy to hear that your account negates those reviews! The blog posts I read definitely mentioned a very weed-forward experience with topless twerking. I respect that every family has different levels of tolerance, just like every teen will have different levels of acceptance for what they might or might not see in shared public spaces. Just a gentle reminder that there are some families that are more conservative than you might think, and that's okay, too.
  10. The one thing about no sharing that annoys me in particular is the pizza at Onda. It is my understanding that the 3rd person in the room can't come to Onda and share the pizza, right? But also you can't get the pizza to go. Yes, I fully understand that nobody is forced to order the pizza!!! However! It seems like such a waste of food, wish the "infrastructure of sharing" made more sense, to me anyway.
  11. I have Vibe passes and I certainly hope that's not their party space!!! I'm hoping to use it as my escape zone!!!
  12. My husband wants to just go and deal with it, he's content to get noise cancelling headphones and zone out with some podcasts. My main concern is my teen needing to roam through 21+ parties to get anywhere. I don't want him to feel like he's tethered to us because of a raucous group.
  13. Join the club!!! 😂 They blocked me on Instagram! I do appreciate your efforts!
  14. I personally don't mind if they host musical acts in the theatre, or have their own private meet and greet in a conference room. I am concerned about their plans for events on the pool deck and infinity pools, because this is a very 21+ experience, and there will be so many kids and teens on board that week (aside from the loud, constant dance music promised). I'm also so surprised that the Prima is marketed as being refined, upscale, relaxing and is hosting a massive dance party for a week. It's definitely not the atmosphere I thought I'd be enjoying when I booked.
  15. We are talking ourselves into, and out of, every imaginable option. We had planned a lot in ny prior to the Sunday sailing - 2 Broadway shows!
  16. I keep emailing and trying to clarify, I always share here when I get a response.
  17. As an update here, NCL is not aware of what Fetetopia has planned. Their website still claims they are having infinity pool parties and music on board.
  18. What remains unclear is whether or not the Soca group can "privatize" the pool deck as they have planned.
  19. Yes, many in our group on the other page all received the same exact boilerplate response from emailing both events and kbyrd
  20. I agree with you one million percent and that is why I've reached out to the organizers through every possible channel being like "Hi! Looking for any info you'd like to share about your events on board, since I'm sailing with you! And it's school vacation week! With lots of kids and families! Can't wait to hear more!"
  21. Great! I hope we can get more info using all available avenues. More info is definitely better than less!
  22. I just had the very brilliant brainstorm to ask on the roll call if anyone is in the Haven, maybe they can get info from butlers or concierge.
  23. Is it possible they ARE the Haven? The group has about a dozen performers who are doing concerts "on land" at the Dockyard in Bermuda. If they are very high profile, maybe they are all in the Haven.
