  1. It doesn't take too much to impress me, just carbs 😂
  2. I'll say it takes a lot to shock me these days, but wow! I find this shocking!
  3. NY to Bermuda? Take my money! 😂 Can't wait. Prima is my favorite ship after many years of cruising. High hopes and very excited.
  4. I loved the Vibe on the Prima, it's a very beautiful space. If you're fine with the cost, go for it.
  5. We kept nothing in the suitcases. Effectively there are 3 storage "bays," 1 for each of us, my husband and I took each side of the closet, and my son left his stuff in a jumbled heap on the open shelf to the left of the closet. We kept all of our shoes in an Ikea bag in an open shelf to the left of the closet. Plenty of places for towels. There are 4 metal hooks on the wall to the left of the bathroom door. I had absolutely zero issues with storage space. We probably had 12 pairs of shoes and multiple bulky hoodies/vests/puffer coats, too. I'm 5'4" and did have trouble with the hangers that you can't take off. They are definitely not made with shorties in mind, but I guess you could stand on the vanity stool 😂
  6. I do! We used 2 credits as a family of three at Food Republic, a total non-issue. With 2 credits, we ordered eight dishes. Even with my 15 year old, who can EAT, it was soooooo much food, almost too much food.
  7. They were a group of four 50 somethings. They cut in front of 3 of us getting pizza. You may not have seen yet the focaccia pizza on the Prima, they are more of an oblong shape. They just piled it on plates. I say sussed all the time but I lived in the UK in my twenties and a lot of vernacular stuck. I say knackered, too.
  8. Nope, mid 50s I'd say. I'm early 40s. So, older than me, but not my parent's age.
  9. Additionally, if NCL and any new ship suddenly has a new mechanism for pre ordering at the buffet, that's something to discuss here and figure out what best practices are. If it's possible to order pizza ahead of time, then it would be possible to order an omelet as well, and we should all know and understand why people would be cutting to the front of the omelet line at any given time. Of course as we've all sussed out, this group was most likely posturing and full of it, as there is no written policy that I can find for pre ordering buffet pizza.
  10. "We ordered ahead" was told to me as they moved to the front of everyone in line to take pizza. It was told to all of us waiting. Your tone is very patronizing, I don't appreciate this paternalistic take. I have every right to ask any questions I'd like about policy and practice, and to me, this is no different than registering annoyance at chair hogs or people who lounge barefoot on furniture in the Observation Lounge. You think this is silly, fine, move on. I'm sure you gripe about things that I'd think are silly as well. If more food will be there soon enough, including their "order," shouldn't they have been the ones to wait?
  11. It was this - it happened at lunchtime, when the focaccia-style pizza pictured above was put out. My family really liked this pizza! It had a decent amount of "char," which is 👍👍👍 for us.
  12. The Prima has focaccia & fresh mozzarella pizza at lunch only that really blew my mind - I haven't seen it on any other ship, and this is the pizza to which I'm referring.
  13. Thank you for helping me distil this in my mind. I think this is the crux of my issue. IF this group had pre ordered pizza (through some method not known to most of us), they should have waited until their order was ready. They should not have cut in and taken all the pizza that was out, by saying "Guess our order isn't ready yet, so we will just take all that is here." That's truly the issue. They should have waited, they should have not pre emptively depleted.
  14. Last week on the Prima, a group cut the buffet line to say that they had "pre ordered" several pizzas during lunch. It seemed like their order wasn't ready when they wanted it to be, so they just took whole pizzas that were ready. My question is - is it common knowledge that you can pre order buffet pizzas, and is it socially acceptable to take a whole pizza when others behind you are in line for pizza? I had never before heard of ordering buffet food. They told me, by way of apology (?) that they needed enough lunch pizza for their group of 21.
  15. Oh what a shame. I thought it was visually impressive and lots of fun. Well, different strokes, I guess.
  16. I always do that before sailing from NYC - best of both worlds! If anyone is sailing from NYC this spring, absolutely do not miss New York, New York!
  17. Yes it was very clear that their paid web presence and all pr marketing materials (advertising/encouraging bamboo, twerking, and on-ship pool party takeovers) in no way represented the reality of the group on the ship. You have to wonder why there was such a big disconnect between the digital image they presented and the actual reality of the participants. It's also unfortunate that they chose not to answer the one question I had for them before the cruise (would their advertised public parties in shared public spaces be happening concurrently with teen Entourage programming which also happened in shared public spaces). Since all we had to go on were YouTube videos and other reviews of similar Soca cruises, it's just too bad their marketing presented them in a very different light. As a parent of a teen, I think it was reasonable to be concerned about an event promoting on-ship weed smoking, drinking, and twerking. I stand by that.
  18. We bought Vibe passes and spent some time there every day, including colder and rainy days, if just for a bit. If we didn't want to do "Enforced Family Fun Time"™ so frequently, we would have clocked more hours up there 😉 And since we roamed the ship a lot at different times of day, I can say that even on nice warm sea days, the upholstered seats on deck 8 both outside of Indulge and closer to the front of the ship (the sculpture park part of Ocean Boulevard) was never full. We always found outdoor seating on deck 8. As I said before, I'm sun-averse, so I'd never choose to sit in a deck chair in the sun by either the main pool or the infinity pools.
  19. Observation Lounge was the best, with the atrium bar a slightly distant second. If you like a Mai Tai, you may also like the BananaRumble, similar flavor & retro tiki vibes.
  20. That celebrity ship certainly is stunning. I believe it had stopped in Bermuda on a Transatlantic, next stop Barcelona.
  21. Go to deck 18 when you boarded. You'll see the sport stadium, and the desk for the go karts is right there. On the other side, you'll see the mini golf, and you can book the darts right there. Go kart rides - $15pp Darts - $20 per group, 45m Escape room - $15pp. You could book in for a group of 6 if you did it at once. We booked in the three of us, and we're paired up with a couple. Even if it's a little simpler than your classic big city escape room, you'll have fun!
  22. Along with the water slide and dry slides, we missed mini golf, it did look super fun. Probably if we hadn't done darts a couple of times, we would have done mini golf. Right now mini golf is free.
