  1. That’s cool. What is their Claim to Fame? The Ice Pilot enrichment was well-timed considering your cancelled ports. It definitely made it more relevant. I would have enjoyed listening, as well. On one of our AK cruises we were unable to get up to Endicott Arm due to an ice field. Prior to your posts I believed it was due to cold weather and little melting, when in fact, it could have been the exact opposite. You are a teacher at heart😊.
  2. Funny you say that…as that was exactly my thought process. Our port excursions just became more low budget 😊 and the Getaway is now a bigger part of the cruise.

  4. We are not in Haven. Boo Hiss…lol. My Dad’s last words to me were “I always knew you were cheap” haha. That being said, it looks like the others on the roll call are in Haven. I’m thinking me and DH are better positioned to “interloper” (oh my!!) in the Haven vs spending $$ in Vibe. I like @cruiseny4life idea of the (my interpretation) “ Flying V”. That being said…we’re open.

  10. So thrilled we’re cruising together!! 🥰. Still up in the air about Vibe. We’ve never booked Vibe before and have enjoyed being with Gen Pop. I may decide to allocate those $$ to FAS Plus 🤣
  11. Thanks for your insight. What region did you sail last February? And, did you feel like the cabana helped cut down on wind, as well?
  12. I’m interested in opinions on the Vibe on the Getaway. For those who have experienced it, would you do individual passes or pay $100 more for a cabana? This would be for a Western Caribbean cruise out of NOLA in early February.

  15. My DH laughs at me. I always go to the Fitness Center. I take two steps in, do a 180 and walk out. Checklist: Go to Fitness Center. ✅
  16. Well that could be true. We used the transfer in October’22 and May ‘23.
  17. Yes you can transfer to Newark, LaGuardia or JFK. We found the transfer to be a very efficient way to get back to the airport in Newark. We paid $37.50 each, or $75 total for 2. going to the pier from Newark we paid $79 for Carmel car service, which included tolls and tip.
  18. Lol. I might be a hot sauce snob. That, and I don’t like searching for the station which has it.
  19. We cruised out of Port Canaveral in February and after my carryon went through security I was pulled to the side. “Ma’am…do you have alcohol in your bag?” “Me? Nooo.” Him: “Do you have Hot Sauce???” Me: “Uhh.Yeah?!?” My little bottle of Texas Pete (maybe 1 oz) threw a security check. Just saying!

  21. Nice hours for the buffet. I can’t tell you how many times on our NCL cruise in May that we just missed breakfast (too early based on excursions) or lunch (too late based on excursions). And, heaven forbid if you wanted a little nosh after 9:30 pm. What’s in The Grill on Deck 15 from 11 am - 9 pm?
  22. I’ve had the Cioppino twice now (10/22 Breakaway and 11/23 Bliss) and enjoyed it. But, I’ve seen pictures of other CCer’s and it looked awful. We typically start with shrimp, then the crab cake, followed by the entree. For me it has been the Cioppino, for DH it was Fried Fisherman’s Platter (never again) and some grilled fish. The key lime for dessert looks factory made, but is really tart and delicious.
