  2. With the LATDBLX you will get 3 pts per night unless Haven then it will be 4.
  3. Yum…if that’s what they’re calling a lamb sirloin…count me in. I hope this is what we’ll get next month.
  4. In the past we had lamb on the bone which looked like it came from the rib. Like a single French cut rib…but I don’t know that much about lamb cuts. Insight appreciated.
  5. I know there is a thread out there with random posts about SDP protein changes. A couple I can remember is NY strip vs. Tenderloin at Teppanyaki, surcharge for Filet at LeBistro, change in breakfast steak & eggs. Well I just noticed that Moderno lamb chop is now lamb sirloin. Now, I have never had lamb sirloin…but I suspect it’s not as good as the chops. Se la vie.
  6. Covid is the virus de jour. yes, it’s everywhere, as is the common cold, influenza, RSV. But…don’t forget about Norovirus. When it’s onboard, it is highly-transmitted and will make your cruise experience the worst ever. Therefore, pack Imodium, if you can get Zofran, take it with you every vacay. It’s a short 24-36 hour virus…but having the right meds will save you $$$$. Cruising in a closed environment is always a risk for illness.
  7. Well you forgot Church…or, heaven forbid…Wally World. (I guess that’s summed up under Dept/Grocery store).
  8. Interesting to note…while we’re in the US, we only get NCL Amex offers on our Non-affiliate cards (non-airlines, non-hotels). In the US, the Amex EveryDay card is $0 annual fee and you collect Amex Membership Miles. This is where I have found the NCL offers. On our multiple Amex Delta cards…zip, never NCL offers. Don’t know how this translates outside the US.
  9. Well that looks like a “just cruised” lunch if I’ve ever seen one…lol. Those veggies need some Ranch! P.s. LUV the stainless bento box.
  10. If NCL booked your air, you will see transfer in your confirmation. If not, and you’re flying in and/or out on Embarkation and/or Disembarkation Day, you can purchase the transfer to the airport. On the app, click My Plans, scroll down to Transfers. Put in your flight info, snd it should recognize your flight and give you the option to add transfer to your cart. We’ve done NCL airport transfers several times, and have always been pleased.
  11. In the US booking excursions come through as a NCL charge and have worked to trigger the card spend. Also Pre-paying DSC also works.
  12. Yes, we used that on two different cards…but I want it again…lol
  13. FWIW…NCL air promo is (or at least was for our upcoming cruise) using SWA. With SWA you cannot pick your seats. You can pay $20 pp each way for Priority Boarding…but that will generally put you in the middle of the pack. And as of January 1st, they are boarding families before Priority Boarding. 2 checked bags are free…which is great IF THEY ARRIVE WHEN YOU DO. We’re flying ATL to SJU in February. What is a 3.5 hr flight will take us 6.5 hrs using NCL promo. They booked us on Southwest ATL/MCO/SJU. With the recent disastrous SWA debacle, we booked our own flights on Delta. We basically threw away $550…but I feel confident we’ll make it the ship with luggage in tow.
  14. Nice…I hope this offer shows up in the US soon. We took advantage of this 2x last year…a nice $700 savings on a cruise we had already booked.
  15. As a Gold member you get Priority Tender Tickets. I don’t actually know how it works but if your upcoming cruise has any tender ports I would stop by the CruiseNext desk on embarkation day and inquire.
  16. We were able to have our cruise repriced after we had applied a CruseFirst certificate.
  17. I think that there are a lot of unsubstantiated assertions here. Lately, when a show cancels, it is more like one or more of the cast has COVID and everyone is isolated until they test clean for 5 days. Hmmm. Not sure what is unsubstantiated here. We booked Epic when Priscilla was in main theater—and we were looking forward to seeing a production we haven’t seen before. As of a few weeks ago, Priscilla disappeared from the entertainment line-up. Are you suggesting that Priscilla disappeared due to Covid? Is my feeling of being cheated unsubstantiated? That would be for me to decide. Did I say this was going to be the worst cruise…no, I just said if it was we would continue to cruise. I apologize in advance if I missed your point.
  18. We’re in the same boat (pun intended). We’re sailing Epic in early February and Priscilla is no longer on that sailing. I doubt they can replace quick enough…so we’ll be left with sub-par main theater entertainment. However, while we feel cheated based on what we booked and what we get, it is not the main reason we chose this cruise. Even if this cruise is one of the worst…we suspect the next one will be even better. We call it the Redemption Cruise. We’ve had a couple. Cruise on😎
  19. Yes..Frequently missed ports, not weather-related, in the Caribbean. Everything you said is accurate (however they are currently casting for Syd’s for 6 ships). Rebuttal: -Daily housekeeping is nice…better than hotels. -Finding and retaining good talent is difficult…so better wages and benefits are a must. -Re-aligning your staffing structure and compensation packages to be more cost-efficient is smart business. -Costs on every commodity have risen post Covid, and availability and quality are not reliable. -NCL (NCHL), as are other cruise lines, are trying their hardest to rebound. There was no bail-out for these companies. Yes, it sucks…but I would rather pay now than not being able to cruise. Bottom line: We accept the “new NCL” or we move on. When the industry stabilizes, the cruise lines will be scrambling to see which one can add back perks and benefits first. You’ll see.
  20. Jersey Boys is on Bliss..at least as of now.
  21. Also here is a snapshot of other auditions they are doing. Nice to see they’re still doing off Broadway shows.
  22. Looks like the recent blip in Syd Norman’s talent is temporary. See casting call here: https://www.playbill.com/job/syd-normans-pour-house-rock-tenors-belters-and-singer-guitarists-chicago-auditions/a69d7be7-1c06-4efa-86a7-b34cd977de69
  23. Sorry, I have spoke about both CruiseNext and CruiseFirst on this thread. The Triple Up is only for CN. My reference is showing how I applied one CF cert on an existing booking. You can also use CN certs…3 of them under the current promotion. See post 3 where poster added 3 to existing reservation. I have also added CN certs to existing reservations in the past. Hope this helps clarify.
  24. I’m sorry I don’t know the answer as we always book through NCL PCC.
