  1. I’m genuinely sorry to hear about your all your trouble and it’s good that you posted publicly about it. But did you say that the name of the travel agency you used is called Topless Travel?
  2. Out of curiosity when is your cruise? What do you want to email the concierge about?
  3. uhhh so what kind of coffee do you drink on board?
  4. But if you purchased the UDP for yourself AND your children, then the children can order off the Johnny Rockets menu, right?
  5. So you’re traveling to four countries and will be using, respectively, euros, kronas, back to euros and then pounds. All those countries will accept credit cards, but you need to make sure that your credit card company is not hitting you with a common 3% foreign currency fee. Do you have a card with a no fee currency conversion? Or at least a 1% fee instead of the 3%? I would find an American bank before you leave and get some dollars converted to euros and pounds to bring with you. For a small country, Iceland is big on cash-less transactions so you should be fine there but maybe you want to have some cash for smaller purchases in in Britain and Ireland like street food vendors or souvenir places. You’ll always do better with the transaction fee converting currency at a big American Bank than some random foreign currency conversion place in touristy areas in Amsterdam, London & Dublin.
  6. Yes to room service, but no to room service ordering from MDR menu, unless in Grand Suite or above, as Poocher indicated.
  7. Hey Cruizzing - how was your cruise overall? Are you doing a review anywhere?
  8. Is there anyone who sailed on Adventure in May, June or this month who can comment on whether most of the games work?
  9. I’m wondering the same thing myself about the AOS arcade quality. I’m also wondering how long it will take for a kid to blow through $50 worth of arcade credit. Then again I probably already know the answer - one afternoon.
  10. To help me gauge how I will fare, would you say that your beer belly that got stuck in the slide is a 6 pack, 12 pack or a full case of 24 brewskis?
  11. Are cruise documents via email to print at home or is it a packet that comes in the regular mail?
  12. Any idea which night is formal night on a 5 night cruise?
  13. In fairness to Dantorr, surely we can’t expect the bloke who wants strategies for squeezing the last penny out of the Unlimited Beverage Plan to use Courier New?
  14. Duuuuude I was looking forward to YOU being the one to help me hide. Just one more for the road - a Bloody Mary on the Bow (Biker19 set me up with a good spot) on Disembarkation morn! Then again, the bars will probably be closed hah.
  15. I should’ve made it clear that the big suitcases will be packed the night before for crew pickup but with multiple kids there’s still a lot of carry on to pack. I’m imagining a lot of last minute search and rescue of missing stuffed animals and blankies tucked inside Pullman compartments.
  16. I was asking for this response obviously but DW is a first-born. She wants to be in charge and she doesn’t want anyone in her way. Trust me on this one. I’m better off hiding.
  17. Am I correct in assuming that everything (except breakfast places) is closed on the ship on disembarkation day? Our disembarkation time will be one of the last slots and I’m wondering if I have any place to hide (like the gym) from my DW while she is frantically packing up everything. Also, has anyone done the MDR in 2022 on disembarkation day? How was it? Or just the mobbed windjammer?
  18. Hi there. We’re sailing this summer on Adventure of the Seas and were lucky to get a Grand Suite via a Royalup bid. Our young-ish children will be with us and we had some questions about current suite benefits on non-“Royal Suite Class” ships. 1) I read somewhere that bridge/galley/backstage tours were suspended or phased out, even though the RCL website lists this as a suite perk. Has anyone gone on a bridge, etc. tour on Adventure or a sister ship in 2022? It’s something the kids would enjoy so I am hopeful they’re still on. 2) Does a suite stay guarantee entry to shows via the reserved seating or concierge reservations? If you’ve stayed in a suite this year, how did the show reservations/seats work? Any difference with seating for the ice skating show? 3) Would you recommend avoiding any particular shows if bringing children ? (if the show is “adult only” we obviously wouldn’t bring children.) Better yet, would you recommend attending any in particular? We would be planning to attend the early/first sessions. Ours are 7 to 14. 4) Is the suite lounge on AOS/comparable ships off limits to children in 2022 during the happy hour/evening or any other times? We wouldn’t have them in for long of course and believe it or not they are remarkably well-behaved. 5) Speaking of alcohol, I’ve seen conflicting RCL information on whether rcl gives a bottle of sparkling wine or regular wine to suite guests. Anyone with a grand suite recently get a complimentary bottle of champagne in your room on embarkation day? (In one place online, it says champagne for Royal suites only. I purchased a bottle of Moët Chandon but would want to cancel if there’s already a bottle waiting. Then again, maybe we should drink both bottles - since we’re traveling with kids. Thanks for your help. And yes - I think Bono just whispered in my ear that these are first-world problems. If you think of anything else that’s a good suite benefit for parents traveling with kids, please share.
  19. Hi Rudeney - how do you book specialty dining through the concierge before boarding? By phone or just via the app? Any idea if the booking pre-boarding for specialty restaurants can be done in conjunction with the unlimited dining plan? We have the unlimited dining plan and a suite but it looks like if we book specialty dining in advance before the cruise via the app we can only do so if we pay the going price of the specialty restaurant.
