Also struggling with how they think they can charge $4700 for a 5-night cruise, but then at the same time over a full month at sea for $10,000.

I figured out why there is such a huge discrepancy in this sailing... The July 14th sailing was on the "blitz" sail promo. It has since returned to normal price and the solo discount gets it nowhere near its discount price. Still stinky. I'd be surprised if the 5% additional off sways any solos on a Sea Terrace if they weren't already going to book during these times.

I was on the Valiant over Christmas too -- trying to work -- and can confirm that the premium internet was garbage. I am assuming it was because the ship was full and it was being heavily utilized. Port days were fine.

Might have been an error, but here is a comparison for pricing for the July 21st Barcelona sailing between Jan 14th and Jan 16th -- an increase of about $1100 dollars. As a solo, I am frustrated.

I was on the Valiant Christmas sailing and thought that there were a lot more 18-25 year old (adult children) with their families. More folks on the older side too, but ultimately probably about the same average age of mid 40s. Agree with other posters in the thread that we won't see a really big difference from the norm after the price increases for 6 months or so due to sailings being booked out in advance. I have seen other millennials like me state pretty plainly that they've been priced out. Crossing my fingers that things don't change too much (and that prices come down some)!

Pay in full. If you book a cruise that is 180+ days away, you can apply a 10% discount on the entire cruise fare if you pay it out right immediately upon booking. 1000-1200 was pretty normal for off-peak sailings, especially with PIF AND MNVV. Those are looking more like 1400-1500 now. Late Oct, November, early December.

Similar to others -- I book early to take advantage of the PIF discount, have MNVVs, am not afraid of solo rooms, and try to go during the off-peak months. This latest round of price increases though is getting very close to pricing me out. I know that Virgin is trying to fill the Med sails right now since they're all leaving ATM with 1000-1200 sailors, but am curious in the long run where the pricing will settle -- still fill ships, but not price out the majority.

I've been on 4 and have another 7 booked... Tried Princess... so not my vibe. Trying Celebrity, worst comes to worst I'll get some good relaxing in.

Hey @sid_9169! Did you go to any of the shows on board and just not post about them or did you check them out on a past cruise? Curious how you may have felt about Never Sleep Alone, the acro show, etc. Also wouldn't mind some deets on how you ended up with the secret magic show invite 🙂
