Inside cabin for 14 days with Plus package. Have it on the Enchanted for August of 2024 and will have it again on two bookings made on board this week for future Sun cruises in October of 2024 and January of 2025. Got those with the cheap deposits and extra OBC for booking on board. Will transfer to my TA next week when we're home.

How does Carnival compare to Celebrity?
CruizinSusan70 replied to Octavias's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Never cruised on those dam ships yet. But at only 99.5 K tons, they are much smaller than the new builds we primarily cruise on. 140+ K tons on the Edge, Apex, Prima, Celebration, Mardi Gras, Discovery Princess. And future bookings on Beyond, Wonder OTS, Enchanted Princess, & Sun Princess. -

That's true...but even though you can lead some to the bar for a drink of water.... -
No reason why they shouldn't accept the gift cards, but instead of 400 in OBC I can get about a 500 discount through my TA. The extra 100 savings plus having it in my pocket on the front end instead of on board spending makes it worthwhile.

How does Carnival compare to Celebrity?

Your lone Celebrity cruise was more boring than the 4 you took on HAL? It obviously wasn't on one of the Edge Class ships. -
Currently on day 14 of the 14 day Majestic out of Vancouver. The only tuxes I saw on the ship were worn by employees. About 90+% of men worn long pants, only occasionally saw shorts

The Sport 24 channel on the Majestic Princess has had the NHL games at 400 and the NBA games at 430 each night since we're on AKST time, which is 4 hours behind EST. -

It's a miracle. He has risen from the dead. Must have been the Pope's 😇 presence. -

I wonder if the "pioneer" gets his own recommendations as well? -

Which ship? There is a difference within the fleet, similar to the differences between the various ships in the NCL and RCI fleets. -

My DH would probably put in a bid. 😄 -

Loyal St Greg devotees would know he has never cruised on either of those lines yet. But he does have an upcoming Alaska cruise on NCL and is also contemplating a future RCI cruise. -

But if someone drinks 4 $11.00 drinks that's 44.00, plus 16 for gratuities and the 60.00 is covered for plus. Then all coffees, sodas, waters and WiFi usage is all gravy and costs you zero. Of course it's a much better deal when you consume more drinks, but once again, you can break even with only a few consumed. -
transfer from vancouver airport by princess to canada place

Thanks for the info. Comparing the four options between taxi van, Uber XL, Lyft XL or Kabu Plus is one significantly cheaper than the others? -
The train can be booked independently. And it runs multiple times per day. If not, there is a step stool that my DH took and including it there were 3 steps to climb that were not bad. There were also handrails on both sides. With someone behind her for balance she should be able to navigate it if the independent booking falls through.

Certainly better than the crap on the Majestic. No gelato stand and the included sundaes were terrible with a capital T. I believe the Enchanted has a gelato stand and I know the Sun will. -

The alcohol choices at Good Spirits have kept us busy for 13 nights. No San Pellegrino this week has been a bummer. -
Just a heads up. Last week on the northbound portion, Skagway ended up being a tender port all day long. The Niew Amsterdam from HAL got the lone dock spot, but they lent us their tenders so more cruisers could get ashore quicker. This week we had split tendering in both Icy Strait Point and today in Ketchikan. The tendering was in the afternoon in ISP and in the morning in Ketchikan.

Have used the 10% off gift cards with Carnival for years and now are using them on Princess. Sailed for 14 days last year on the Discovery and 14 this year on the Majestic. Paid for everything with the gift cards. Have used them for deposits on the Enchanted as well as 4 sailings on the Sun. And of course will pay the balance on these cruises with the cards. Used the cards on excursions in Alaska as well. Have saved thousands over the years.

Puppies in the Piazza in Skagway
CruizinSusan70 replied to WorkforBeerGuy's topic in Princess Cruises
The Skagway Musher's Camp excursion was great. Cost 146.00, was over 3 hours long and was certainly cheaper than the 750 for the helicopter/snow sled excursion. This is where the puppies came from that were on the Majestic Princess last week. -
Feel the exact same way. The sale gives 200 for 2 on a 7 day and 400 for 2 on a 14 day on a basic inside cabin and it's probably OBC. Can get more from my current TA and it's a discount that I save on the front end.
