Same as me...after we take our two B2B's on the Celebration and a 10 day on Memorial Day 2024 on the Venezia, will be a mere 6 days shy of Diamond. Looking forward to the Diamond lunch and that free specialty meal. 🤣
Buy Cheers ahead of time as usual to get the discount. Whatever OBC you get for the 25 milestone, apply it towards your gratuities and then with whatever is left over go to Cherry On Top and buy gift cards to use towards your next cruise.
As a side note, if you enjoy a snack before bed, a good tip is to go to the deli and get a cold sandwich and then put it in the frig in your cabin. After 10:00, the only options are pizza or sometimes a mini buffet opens up at Guy's but the lines at both were long on our last MG cruise. Had the turkey on a pretzel roll and it was good.
Last minute flights across the pond would add a substantial amount to the trip. And of course not everybody makes donations to the casino, so that eliminates many.
On deck 11 aft above the buffet is where Cucina del Capitano and Jiji's are located. The only bad thing about Cucina for lunch is that sometimes the basketball courts are being used and they are located right above you, so you hear the thump thump of the ball. They open at 12 noon and either place would be good, but as has been mentioned, Cucina is larger so has more seats.
CMC is correct, it's one bottle of wine or champagne per person as well as a 12 pack of soda per person. You can also bring an additional 12 pack of soda on board from a port stop as well.
Two mile round trip walk for yogurt and OJ versus a 20 minute wait for a lukewarm Egg McMuffin. At least the calories burned will allow two more high end Margs to go down your gullet later today. 😄
If you think that the Princess drink packages are over priced, check out NCL, Celebrity and especially RCI. At least with the first two, it can be bundled instead of the outrageous dynamic pricing policy of RCI.
This is just one more hurdle that those that like to imbibe need to deal with when deciding on which cruise line to cruise on. Teetotalers don't need to factor this into their decision making process.
No. We had a club sandwich delivered around 1030 pm to Good Spirits. That was the lone delivery of food or drink we had done on our 14 nights on the Discovery last year.
We also have an upcoming Enchanted cruise, in August of 2024 repositioning for 14 days from Fort Lauderdale to Brooklyn with 7 port stops. Viking is out of our price range and Disney has too many kids and doesn't provide the value we like.
Fully agree. We started cruising on Princess last year on their brand new Discovery, which is slightly larger than the Vista Class. Enjoyed it so much we booked on other Royal Class ships with the Majestic to Alaska this year and a repo cruise on the Enchanted next year.
Really looking forward to their new Sphere Class, which is comparable to the Excel Class. The Sun comes out next year and the Star comes out in 2025. About 5 K tons smaller than the Celebration, but 2000 less people.
The Royal Class of Princess is not an indoor mall. Multiple classes on Royal Caribbean has that jurisdiction.
If you like a promenade deck that circumnavigates the entire ship, try the Prima or Viva of NCL.
