  1. If you're off the ship in port for 8 hours a day, that means you're on the ship for 16 hours a day. If you sleep 8 hours, that leaves you 8 hours to drink. If you have a single drink every TWO hours, that's four drinks per day, which gives you your monies worth. But you have your math and I have mine
  2. At 60 per day, it's 44 for WiFi and drink package. If WiFi is important to you, it's a no brainier. If wifi isn't important, four alcoholic drinks a day @11.00 and you're even.
  3. Bit the bullet and paid the 45.00 for the 5 year membership on AARP. Sitting on close to 800 K points on Allstate that will be wasted. It's a shame that they let a good thing go down the drain. 😔
  4. No pictures available. The cabin has a roll in shower with grab bars in shower area as well as around the toilet. Both of their scooters will fit and it would give them more room if the beds were split and not pushed together.
  5. Wrong forum. Cheers is on Carnival. 😉
  6. Saw four "gentlemen" wearing them in Sabatini's last April on The Discovery. Yes, a lot has changed in 10 years. That poster was not being snarky, but being truthful.
  7. You forgot to look in the fine print....it says no bra.
  8. If you don't stumble across a sale, book the solo cabins on NCL
  9. Will we go and pay 17 for a beer at a sporting event, no. Will we get a package that brings value to our vacation which is where we do 90% of our alcoholic consumption, yup, every day and twice on Sunday.
  10. Nobody is buffaloing us for anything. Wifi doesn't matter to us, we can just as easily unplug for 14 days. If you take 60 for the package minus the 16 for gratuities, that's 44 per person for drinks. That's 3 $15.00 drinks, so anything above that plus coffee, soda, sparkling water, etc is all gravy.
  11. But once you factor out gratuities and wifi, it's 29.00 pp per day for drinks. If you imbibe, it's worth it, if you don't, it's not. It's a very simple thing. Drinkers enjoy it and teetotalers don't.
  12. Would have been considerate to send that email before the check in day 16 days prior on May 23. Some diamonds and Plats might have assumed that check in time slots would not matter because of priority check in being a normal perk.
  13. You're getting onto a slightly larger ship that is 8 years younger and will be unique to the fleet until it's counterpart debuts next year. If you didn't like your new cabin assignment, you could have canceled and gotten a refund or FCC. And nobody made you pay in full a year and a half out, that was on you. Maybe Carnival dropped the ball with the way they handed out the cabins, but the bottom line is that you could have gotten a refund and spent that money on another cruise on another line, if what Carnival did upset you so much.
  14. If she has Whataburger spicy ketchup, she's related to Saint Greg.
  15. Just got on with no problem on my Android. Got the usual 50 points and struck out again as usual on the spin game. No gift cards available
  16. Cruising started back in July of 2021. We were on the Discovery on a B2B in April of 2022. The first week they had the t shirts and the second week they were out. You needed to collect 15 cards to get a t shirt. Over the two weeks we collected well over 100 and never got a shirt. Would have just given them away anyway since my DH and I are fluffy. The Sandia en Fuego with extra pepper 🌶️ to really take it up a notch was my DH's favorite. I liked the vanilla sky.
  17. I have 50+ cruises under my belt. Have cruised on Princess, Celebrity, Carnival, RCI, NCL and MSC. Have primarily cruised on Carnival, have 8 or 9 on Celebrity, RCI and NCL. Our lone MSC cruise was 5 years ago in the YC on the Seaside. Have only cruised on Princess on a 14 day B2B on the Discovery last year. Had a great time. Will be on the Majestic for 14 days next week to Alaska for the first time. Will be on the Enchanted for 14 in August of 2024. Will be on the Sun for 2 different B2B's in the fall of 2024 and winter of 2025. Will do the same for the Star once Caribbean bookings open up. So, the bottom line is that for the most part, Princess will be our primary cruise of choice. We will still occasionally cruise on the Excel Class of Carnival, but the Plus package on Princess represents great value to us. We're hoping that the Sphere Class will be a game changer for Princess.
  18. The suites and platinum/diamonds get first priority. Then those people that purchase FTTF. Then general boarding begins. You're assigned a boarding group number and half hour window to physically show up when you check in on line.
  19. 90% of the crap on the sundae is not needed. A simple scoop of gelato or maybe turning it into an affagato, which I believe is an option would be great.
  20. My DH told me he likes them because they're not the old fashioned tighty whities and they're not like boxers since he likes his "boys" to have a home and not be loose.
  21. The first four drinks that you had were expensive, but priced right. The cheapest was the silver at 14+, the reposado was 16+ and the anejo and the shot were both 18+. But 24 for a reposado should have came with a lubricant back. 😄
  22. It's been reported on the boards that you can use your OBC to offset part of the cost of the Plus package if you purchase it on board.
