  1. Does the Classic package include the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice at the cafe al baccio 2 in the OVC?
  2. And just to let you know, there is a new rule that if one person in the cabin decides to upgrade to the premium package, then both cabin occupants must do it. The price difference used to be 10 bucks, plus 20% gratuity or 12 bucks a day for one person to upgrade. The difference is now 20 bucks a day, plus gratuity or 24 a day times two or 48. So what used to be a reasonable 12 a day for one to upgrade is now an unreasonable 48 for both to upgrade. Unless you have a ton of OBC to burn, you won't be able to consume any drinks at Eden or the World Class Bar without paying the upcharge per drink if you don't pay the package upgrade.
  3. Just to let you know, the Vibe is sold out for every cruise on the Prima through May unless there have been cancellations. So there is no need for more people to buy it because they can't. We were there for 11 days starting on Halloween and it was the highlight of our cruise. Certainly not a waste of space for those that wish to cruise in a kid free atmosphere and not be a chair hog since thick padded loungers and umbrellas are always waiting for you. Along with two large hot tubs, great bartenders and shot o'clock.
  4. No, on Royal Caribbean you left from Bayonne, which is located in New Jersey.
  5. No, you paid the 20% gratuity with the drink package. While the ship is in US waters, you pay the corresponding sales tax for that state until the ship exits the port and gets into international waters. So, it makes sense because while the ship is geographically still in FLA, you're responsible to pay FLA sales tax.
  6. Professional help is easily obtained by starting your day at Cafe al Bacio enjoying your coffees or teas of choice with an almond or chocolate croissant. And ending your day at the Martini Bar or Eden with your concoction of choice. Enjoy, we spent 12 days on the Apex last January and had a blast.
  7. Magnetic hooks that attach to the wall can be used for additional space to hang things from.
  8. The January 22 2023 sailing of the brand new NCL Prima ended up being changed to a full charter by Atlantis, a lifestyle group that caters to a gay clientele.
  9. You're correct Joe, but the opinion of a previous poster who lambasted NCL off of a single sailing holds zero water. One cruise on any line shouldn't constitute an opinion for that entire line since there are so many deviations within every line ship to ship.
  10. Our last cruise prior to Covid was 7 days on the Edge and our first after COVID was a 5/7 B2B on the Apex. The Edge class is our favorite out of the four different classes we have sailed on X going back to the Horizon in 1995. We are looking forward to our 18 day B2B on the Beyond in November. On NCL we have cruised on 3 different ships in the Breakaway Plus class as well as the 11 day Prima cruise after you disembarked. We enjoyed our Prima cruise, but there were many different problems with the entertainment. Prior to the inaugural sailing, one of the main shows promoted was by Light Balance of AGT fame. Show never materialized. Game shows were listed as Price is Right, Press Your Luck, Supermarket Sweep and Beat the Clock. Price as you know has premiered. Press your luck was supposed to debut on our sailing, even having sign ups for prospective contestants. A needed part which was supposed to arrive never did and I have not read about it debuting yet on a December live review. Obviously NCL is cutting back with their entertainment dollar since Noise Boys is no longer and nothing replaced Kinky Boots on the Encore. We have a B2B planned on the Prima for the end of February. Luckily we have Vibe passes for the first week. Disappointed that Beef Wellington has been removed from the MDR menu, but as usual we don't make the rules, we just play the game.
  11. Where are you getting RT airline tickets for two for 700.00?
  12. No question perception comes into it, but it's a safe bet that if someone doesn't like 70's and 80's music at Syd Norman's, they more than likely would not like to sail on Celebrity.
  13. There are differences between lines and there are also differences between different ships within the same line. You can't really compare the newest build of each line with the oldest ship that is over 20+ years old. It's also not fair to write off an entire line based upon a single sailing. The larger the sample size the more realistic the results are with statistics, the same is true with cruise ship comparisons and evaluations.
  14. 1986, with 6 cruises on NCL and 2 currently booked and 7 cruises on Celebrity with 2 currently booked. 49 cruises in total.
  15. Ever hear of a concept called sample size. A single cruise on NCL doesn't cut it since there are differences between ships in the NCL fleet let alone comparing it to ships from other fleets. When you hit 10 cruises, then you have a great sample size in order to make a quantitative decision as to which ship is better.
  16. Could not agree more. Unfortunately, we now need a HC cabin and there are no inside HC available on any of the Vista Class ships in the Havana area. Those two cabins have more useful space than a regular inside since the back of the bed is on the long wall instead of the short wall. It makes a huge difference.
  17. I will infer that there are different consistencies because of different countries. On the Apex last January, the B2B process was seamless and painless.
  18. I believe that Disney and possibly Virgin are the only ones.
  19. Quick google search states on the Red Hook website that overnight parking is 30 per day or 210 for the week.
  20. Now we know why you like NCL so much. You can "feel free" to dress down as much as you like as long as you don't eat in Le Bistro or Ocean Blue.
  21. Stay on your side of the pond and you'll get it.
