  1. Errr ahhh ummmm aaaaa ------- Never mind!
  2. These days, if you wrap "whatever" in a tortilla and sprinkle a little McCormick Taco Seasoning on it, it's "Mexican Food".
  3. Yep, I think, but I'm not a mind reader, that that was the actual question. If, the ship is in Florida/U.S. waters, does the U.S. cellphone system work? However, I don't think the service reaches out to international waters where the ship sails between those ports. I believe that the ship goes into international waters so they can open the casino and sell drinks without tax. So, unless you have the ship's internet package and use Wifi calling, you're in for a hefty cell phone bill at the end of the cruise. JMHO
  4. And I bet just to annoy people you even smile and say hello to people, too. I just don't know what to say about people like you. Yes, I do. I say, "Hello" right bacatchya.
  5. Ya, sounds like Suite lounge. Very nice.
  6. I just knew that it had to be more that just getting a cup of Joe!
  7. What's the draw for the D Lounge Coffee? Is it better coffee than what is offered elsewhere? Is it because it's in a somewhat exclusive lounge? How many venues that serve included coffee are passed on the way to the D Lounge? Inquiring minds want to know! Edited in; BTW, that's an honest question, no agenda or trying to be a wise guy.
  8. It looks like the race will be around the Hard Rock Stadium which is west and a bit north of the Port of Miami. Florida's Turnpike will definitely be affected and I-95 could be impacted as well. If it were me and I was coming in from Broward County (Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale area), I'd probably take US-1 or A1A and enjoy the sights and sounds of that drive. But, as stated, allow extra time. The good news is you'll be traveling in the opposite direction as the race crowd Sunday Morning once you get directly east of the Hard Rock. Top left blue circle is the location of the Grand Prix. The bottom right blue circle is the Port of Miami:
  9. Try to find out if it is a fully paid cruise. If it is, hop in the car, plane and enjoy. LOL
  10. Well, if you don't cruise in one on Harmony before Jan 2024, I'll give you a report/review. I've stayed in Star Lofts, 4 bedroom Family Villa, and Aqua. I can say that Aqua is my favorite. But, the Family Villa was very nice with the Spa and wet bar on the balcony.
  11. This will be my second cruise in an Aquat Theater Suite. The first time, on the Allure, the noise was never an issue and I'm a light sleeper. The only minor issue, not for me, was the couple that slept in the living room said that the lights strobing and such did bother them a little. Apparently, the curtains didn't completely block out the bright lights.
  12. The below doesn't require removing the card from a sleeve which is hard to do at times and sometimes the card sticks to the inside of the sleeve. I've punched holes a few times and never had an issue. I've actually had to go to Guest Services more often because of delaminating issues that had nothing to do with holes. But, you do you and whatever works for you.
  13. Not to be contrary, but, as long as you don't damage any of the electrical components of the card, a hole punch won't disable the card and it will work fine.
  14. I have lanyards like this one. I find it very convenient as the card is hooked to the lanyard and the lanyard has an easy-to-use buckle-type release. Squeeze the buckle and hand the card to the bartender/server/whomever. Yes, a hole has to be punched. A strong flashlight shining from the back will show the antenna's location and punch a hole in it. Some say that a cell phone flashlight is enough.
  15. I haven't had the pleasure of experiencing the Diamond Lounge, yet, as we just earned it on our last cruise. But, we do cruise Star (fact, not bragging) about 60+% of our RCCL cruises. I'm looking forward to doing both the Diamond Lounge and the Suite Lounge/CK this coming Jan on the Harmony. Hopefully sooner if we find an itinerary we like before then and a category we like.
  16. Ya, I hear ya. I think Disney World does the same, although I haven't been there in decades and won't return any time soon. I really didn't think there was a standard. I just thought it would be nice to know for those that need to budget every dollar.
  17. I'm no fan of the WOW band and I'll probably not use the one I get while on the same cruise as you unless the bartenders and servers now have portable readers that read the band at my location. I can see using it to go to the pool/Flowrider/whatever with a bathing suit that doesn't have pockets and you don't want to leave the seapass card on a chair/lounger or something like that. And as stated, it is easy to open your cabin door when your hands/arms are full, like carrying sleeping kids/gkids. Also, we always bring a Sharpie along so we mark our names on the Coke/beverage package tumblers and we could do the same with the WOW bands. While on a cruise, I try to have as little to carry around as possible, including a cell. So, in theory, I'd like to find the WOW band to be convenient for ALL situations. Until then, no thanks.
  18. A dollar sign is a dollar sign A dollar sign means nothing A dollar sign means nothing if a dollar amount isn't attached to the dollar sign In other words, on the menus on the RCCL website, they attach dollar signs to indicate the price of the venue. Other than comparing one venue to another, is there a standard attached to the dollar signs? Is one $ = to up to $10.00, is two $$ = to $10.01 to $20.00.........? If there is, I haven't seen it.
  19. I'm guessing that it really depends on the availability of the time slot that you want. 7:00ish is probably a very popular time. If the Concierge can't make the change for you, I'd go to the Hibachi as soon as you get on the ship and try to get it changed in person (a 20-dollar bill in your hand may not hurt). However, no matter what time you go, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
  20. That: was in response to why you quoted me. My post was about having to pay to get into a show. Not the size of the venue or anything else. My post: "I wasn't aware that there was a charge for any entertainment (shows), including Comedy shows. Has that changed, too?" Your post that quoted me: "On some ships you always needed to reserve shows. For example Comedy show. For this show reservations are very important as venue is small. If you do not book let's say main show like Mamma Mia (on Oasis or Quantum class) you can just show up and there will be a space as theater is large and people already have been watching it for many years so repeaters are likely to show up. I think they even removed reservations for those (but not for two70 shows like Spectra's cabaret)." What does that have to do with my post? I don't get it.
