  1. That'll be the Kardashians of this world, the Hollywood A Listers, the social media celebrities, YouTubers and Elon Musk!🤣🤣
  2. I'd love to say I agree but it'll be a cold day in hell before I take the word of a French sociologist as fact.
  3. Do you mean how do they send them out, or how do they decide who is worthy of 'winning' the upgrade? If the question is how do they send them out, you have to have opted in to being sent advertising and promotional material when you fill in your details online. If you mean how do they decide who is worthy of 'winning' then I've no idea but I'm keen to know, I'm guessing it's based on highest bidder but when they examine and accept the bids is beyond me, I'd be keen to know if this is done daily it'd certainly make me put my bid in early!
  4. Sure thing. Centre of the red circle (4th room over. Not really restricted at all.)
  5. UK itinerary updates have been completed, I was trying to book a cruise yesterday that was available before but mysteriously disappeared. It's back!🥳🥳🥳
  6. I think the confusion around this might come because in the med the ships don't really start do their cruise for 7 days then stop, what happens is the ship goes round in circles, people embark and disembark at every port.
  7. That should be more than fine, it's about 45minutes in a taxi from the port to the airport. Number 1 rule. (If you are physically able of course) ***Don't leave your luggage out the night before for the porters!!!*** Go get an early breakfast, grab your luggage and make your way down to disembark. Speak to guest services the night before and explain you have a connecting flight and cruise and explain that you would like to disembark first if possible. Go straight out and get in the taxi, you will be fine. I had this exact thing happen me two weeks ago, flight at 11 disembark at 7.... The ship was late into port, didn't get in until 9 and we still made the flight, so try not to panic, if in at 7 you'll have loads of time. Enjoy the rest of your trip. It sounds like you have a couple of lovely cruises back to back and I'm a bit jealous!!
  8. Hi adamrayan, We sailed on Bellissima last month, had a deluxe balcony room 13229, it had the bunk bed configuration. If you look at the ship floor plan the key will tell you what type of room you need. Edit: There you go, I found the necessary images. Turns out it's a room with '2 dots'
  9. Looking sharp! Definitely the kind of outfit I would see myself in on a formal night.
  10. Wow, this was my favourite thread until I read this post, I'm not sure if this is tongue in cheek or not, but I can tell you I wore shorts in the dining room, designer dress Chino shorts and short sleeve fitted dress shirts. I was ten times more dressed than some of the old people with their 1980's style beige 'pants', oversized poorly tailored striped shirts and ugly shoes. I saw several guests wearing clothes that I wouldn't send to a charity shop because they were too ugly. I suppose it depends on your age but it certainly has nothing to do with class.
  11. I'm lost, I've seen your posts pop up in a few threads. What I'm failing to understand is did you cancel the cruise and get a full refund? In which case everything else is hypothetical and there is a lot of crying about nothing, airlines cancel thousands of flights a day or offer a different flight in a lower class at the same ticket, if you don't want the alternative, cancel, that is typical of pretty much every airline. Or did you go on the cruise and take the downgrade? In this case I'm all ears and I'm dying to hear more of what you were refused and feel you have a case for a complaint
  12. OP hasn't posted back here but if they do, I was on Bellissima only two weeks ago, it was a fantastic experience. My first with MSC, I enjoyed it so much, the MDR was my favourite thing, the food was so good. Just order lots of dishes and enjoy. From what I can see the only difference between Bellissima and Virtuosa is a panoramic glass lift.
  13. Don't call to do it!!!! You'll probably end up on different ships!🤣🤣
  14. I had no idea... Pretty much the exact same ship, so should hopefully be fine.
  15. Aww glad to hear that it's better today, I've booked Grandiosa out of Southampton next August!
  16. Such a shame, sorry to hear that, how is the rest of the cruise going? That's a lot of guests on one ship.
  17. Brilliant, that's exactly what I was hoping to hear! Thanks so much for this information.
  18. Hmmm, the advice given here is in contrast to everything I have read everywhere else, but something I'm very interested in finding a definite answer to. It was my belief that if you bid for an upgrade to yacht club it was simply your cabin location that changed you would not be entitled to free drinks or free WiFi if they had not been included in your previous package. Your experience would also not be upgraded, so if you had been Bella before you would still be Bella. But you would have access to the yacht club dining room and other yacht club only areas.
  19. Just one thing, you say the basic package that includes water and tea/coffee. These are only available in the buffet area. If you want bottled water or hot drinks in the MDR or at any of the bars you will have to pay for it. The issue you will have if you upgrade to a drinks package, Including the non alcoholic one is that you will be charged a child's package price for your 3yo, the non alcoholic package works out to be about £20 per day for adults and £10 per day for kids. The other option is pay as you go. budget around €3.50 for coffee/tea €2.50 for water €3.00 for soft drinks/ juice.
  20. You need to call the number on the top right of your page. They will get you sorted out.
  21. Perfect👍 it's all pretty self explanatory when you check in at the cruise terminal they will guide you through what to do. If you still aren't sure how to do it, when you board there will be staff selling internet packages, if they aren't busy with other guests just ask them they will sort it for you.
  22. Ahh, that's the issue, the .ie site only gives basic information, you have to call the US booking office to book and get further pricing information.
  23. The easy plus is everything up to $9, I'm 99.9% sure it is up to €8, but I ordered many drinks for myself and my wife including the frozen cocktails and didn't have to pay any extra. If you drink beer I'd recommend getting the bottled Paulaner it's much nicer than the stuff from the tap.
  24. When you are boarding you will be given an A3 page with a qr code to scan, this allows you to register your devices You must log on to one of your devices, then log onto one device belonging to the person you are sharing the cabin with. Just make sure you log on to the correct 2 devices, as once logged on you can't change them. I'd also recommend downloading the MSC for me app on all your devices prior to boarding. (The app works on all devices using the ships WiFi for free even if you have 10 devices) My top tip if you wish to register your credit card or debit card via the app do it in port when you have signal on your phone before turning on aeroplane mode as in most cases nowadays 2 factor authentication is required, you will usually need a phone signal for this.
