We booked our flights the day Southwest released them. I had been watching but had to wait until the next release date because our return flight was in the next batch of releases. We ended up with round trip from Milwaukee to SJU for $343/person. I was happy with that. Checking the prices now they have gone way up. Glad I booked as soon as they were available!

Thanks Bob! Appreciate the reply.
Do think it would be better to pack this in carry on or checked bag? Wonder if it's in carry on, at least I can show them easily that it's a hair dryer.

Pack it anyway you want. It'll be fine. You can even bring a flat iron (straightener) if you wish!

That's one ofvthe things I'm most excited for. Also, how's the habachi place? Do you recommend any other shows?
Definitely the comedians in the comedy club. You need to reserve it ahead of time, it's a small venue.

My experience has been that they start decorating for Christmas right after Thanksgiving, so you might not have any Thanksgiving decorations but you most likely will have Christmas decor.

Room service has pizza but after midnight there is a charge.

Actually there is now a 7.95 charge at any time of day.

I know you didn't ask this but you can usually bring your own soda onboard as well. We've never done it but many people report having no problems bringing it.

So sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing your story. With all the negative posts regarding RCCL lately it sure is nice to see that they still have some sort of compassion towards others! Enjoy your cruise with your family.

Sushi carts now fleet-wide:
Thanks! I googled and found it. Don't know how I missed this! I'm stoked!

As a previous employer I really appreciated employees who let me know dates they had previous commitments after I made a job offer to them. That way I knew in advance if I would have the coverage needed for them to be off. Nothing bothered me more than someone coming in to work their first week and saying "oh, btw I need off on such and such dates."
For our cruise back in 2015 my husband had just graduated after going back to college as an adult. After receiving job offers and during the negotiation process he let them know that he had a vacation planned and asked if they would be able to accommodate his time off. The two companies he narrowed his search down to both agreed it wouldn't be a problem however one wanted him to wait until after the trip to start working. The company he ended going with let him work for 2 weeks to get to know everyone in the office and then we took our cruise. The week after we returned they sent him out of state for 2 weeks of training. They were very accommodating and could have very easily had him just start after our cruise. They even paid him for the time off. (Without using any of his vacation days) His company is still as awesome today as they were back then!

There is a mobile Izumi on board. We saw them roaming around all over the place a few weeks ago.
OMG! You just made my day!
So, mobile as in we purchase and then could take it to our balcony to eat?
-
More slides? The slides went in on the last attempted upgrade, I think the only thing left is adding the new cabins at the top front.
And Izumi! I'm bummed it won't be there on our cruise in November. But yeah your right, slides are already there.

Nice pants and a polo would be acceptable. Tie is great but not a necessity. Have him wear whatever he feels most comfortable in.

Out of all of your Allure options we tried them all. Samba was the most enjoyable meal for us. Service was excellent and the meat cutter spent extra time explaining each cut of meat and the different flavors associated with them.
You really can't go wrong with any of them though, so enjoy!

When we did a spring break cruise with the kids airfare to Fort Lauderdale was outrageous. We flew into Miami instead and rented a car and drove the short distance to Fort Lauderdale. Even with renting a car we still saved a ton of money!
After thinking about it we actually flew into FLL and drove to Miami. But my point still remains: check surrounding airports!

There is no "organized" party...it's just the sense of fun in the public areas during sail away. The pool deck will have the most folks.
There has been an organized party on every cruise we have taken. It's usually on the pool deck but I believe Allure was by the Aqua Theater.

So the deluxe alcoholic package also gets you a soda package---? after rereading my initial post, it (I) may have been confusing?

It includes soda for the purchaser of the deluxe package. It doesn't give you a separate soda package. Meaning it's only to be used by the one person.

We would like a beach that has chairs, drinks and food available. My husband likes to snorkel and I enjoy just relaxing in the sun.
We'd prefer a nice sandy entrance to the water. (not too rocky)
What would be better, Shipwreck or Carambola Beach Club?
Also what is the best way to get to either of them? and about how long does it take?
Thanks

Thanks! I guess I really had it in my head that the individual dining would open by day 90. I called Royal a few weeks ago and they said to just keep checking. I am just impatient!:D
Weird. I don't sale until the end of November and all of our reservations have been available for at least a month.
Hopefully they aren't adjusting prices for your cruise.

I will never understand why someone would want to ruin their vacation by constantly looking over their shoulder making sure they don't get caught cheating the system.
When we pick a cruise we add in all the extras (tips, drinks, excursions etc.) and then decide if we still think it's a good value. If we don't think we want to spend that much money we don't book it! I would never consider looking for ways to rip off the cruise line just to save a few bucks. Not worth the stress!
-
Looking forward to the rest of your review. We are sailing on Adventure in November so I'm enjoying all of the adventure reviews lately!
What time were your dinner reservations the first night? We are also doing the BOGO but want to make sure we finish dinner in time to catch sail away.

That was happening yesterday for me. When I got that screen I would hit the refresh button and then it would work.
Everything is working for me today though so hopefully it'll be fixed soon for you.
-
so far no luck for me i still can't get into the on line check in either white page of death or my reservation is being modified i have been on the phone with then many times i get told they are working on it keep trying looking kike we will be going with on set sail pass or tags?
Have you tried incognito or private mode?
-
It appears to be fixed...at least for me. My negative $1300 balance now shows a $0 balance. I'm also back in the cruise planner and I haven't been able to access it since Sunday.
ETA: I spoke too soon...some of the tabs under my cruises/reservation still don't work LOL
Everything is working for me now! Correct balance due is showing and all my dining and drink package purchases are still there!

I now have the correct balance due showing and all my dining and drink package purchases are still there!
Looks like everything is fixed. For now.
Have you been on meet and mingle event on Allure?

Our meet and mingle was held in Dazzles at 9:45am on the first sea day. Unfortunately we were still sleeping so we missed it.
