  1. I thought I read the T&C's, and that the gift cards was good for everything on HAL, but I did run into the issue of using it for HIA. Could anyone elaborate on how you used your gift cards for HIA? Which would be the correct department to contact with the ability for allowing payments by gift cards in their little pull down box? Please help. Thanks so much.
  2. Just got off Valiant last week, I don't know how it will be in March, but if you get off first available at 7:30 or so, you should have plenty of time.
  3. Yup. I tend to run hot and like to crank the AC down. Just got off Valiant Lady last week, and most places on the ship was ok, some places inside where it was open and close to the outside was warm, but the big venues enclosed like the Red Room was nice and cool. We felt that our cabin could have been cooler, definitely glad we brought a fan to circulate the air.
  4. Rockstar! Very helpful. Thanks so much again!
  5. Hi All, I looked on Roll Call, but didn't see a group there. I am deciding between booking the Escape to Sea or doing the Drinks and Wi-Fi Package. I drink very little alcohol and my DH is recently sober. We do drink tons of water and will have some coffee, juices, maybe 1-2 Virgin drinks. But it might be better off paying by the drink, depending on how much the wi-fi package is. Since I can't see how much the wi-fi is on this sailing before booking, If you're on this sailing and have a moment, could you kindly post how much the wi-fi cost? It would be much appreciated. Thanks much. Cheers!
  6. Hilton Gold = MSC Gold. Got response less than 48 Hours.
  7. Thanks so much for that. Rockstar. Would love to see the Daily Programs whenever you have time. Thanks again! Cheers.
  8. Good to keep in mind. Thanks for the suggestion. I drink a ton of water, but very little alcohol, and my DH is recently sober. If it wasn't for the included wi-fi, I think we would be better off paying for drinks separately, but with wi-fi, it might just be a tie.
  9. Hello All, New Baby Cruiser here. I apologize if this has been answered before, I tried searching and did not see anything. If I booked a cabin at the basic Escape to Sea rate, whether it be Bella, Fantastica or Aurea, then changed my mind later and want to opt for the Free Drinks & Wi-Fi package, could I then change it? Or would I then be stuck at adding the drinks and Wi-Fi package separately at the more expensive rate? Thanks much. Cheers Everyone!
  10. May I ask where on the MSC website do you find that it shows the "b" on the deck plan? I've been trying to figure out which of the rooms have the bathtubs, without having to call MSC. Thank you.
  11. Thanks so much for all the response and explanations. I will ask the TA for the full invoice and accounting. I just wanted to make sure I was correct in that MNVV certificates was supposed to have $300 as a deposit AND $300 off as a discount + $600 in sailor loot. I didn’t want to seem accusatory if I asked about it. Thanks so much again!
  12. So in total $300 deposit + $300 discount should = to $600 off the cruise fare, correct? Like say the total fare is $3,000 minus $600 = $2,400 remaining balance. But she just took off the $300 deposit. So it was like $3,000 - $300 = $2,700. Does that make sense?
  13. Hi All, Brand new to cruising, so please excuse the newbie question. I bought 2 MNVV certs from a TA, and used it on 2 future cruises. From what I understand after reading several discussions here, it's $300 for each MNVV cert, which in turn would discount $300 + $300 = $600 off your total cruise fare and you get $600 in sailor loot? If I have that correct? I booked the sailings last week Aug. 23, 2023 with the last promo. The TA applied the MNVV certs, but only discounted the fare by $300. Would there have been any reason I shouldn't have gotten the additional $300 discount? I didn't fully understand the MNVV, the way she made it sound was that I only get the $300 off plus the $600 sailor loot. It wasn't until I started reading the boards here, that I found out she might have pulled a fast one. When I interviewed her she also mentioned another $100 additional sailor loot per booking, which also never happened, but I didn't even bother with that as I thought if it's coming out of her commission, I didn't want to take it from her. I already paid it off in full to get the additional 10% off, so I think it's too late. If I should have also gotten the additional $300 off for the MNVV and the TA, "conveniently forgot" to give it to me, that makes me feel really gross. Could she keep the extra $600 ($300 x2 for 2 MNVV certs) and use it some other way? She came highly recommended, and supposedly top 100 First Mate in the whole US. If it's a hard lesson to learn then I guess I learned my lesson. Sigh. But seems like a short sighted move as I will now be looking for a new TA to handle my future business. Thanks in advance for any wisdom you can impart.
