We were on the same cruise in YC. Just got home. We had a large group of friends all haven experienced. Some prefer haven and others liked YC more. I prefer haven for the service. My butler was almost non existent but when we saw him he was nice. The Haven seems more refined, higher class service, staff gets to know you, the concerige in haven pulls strings to get you into restaurants or activities whereas YC has now power outside of having the YC lounge and restaurant. even tho my wallet prefers the YC, I prefer the haven. lol

Hi! I am having the same exact question. We too are doing victor bodden sloths and looking for a beach. I emailed him and asked him. He said it’s best to wait for day of, if we purchase prior we pay and do not get refunded for and weather. It’s low season in august (he said) and it will be no problem to ask driver to go wherever. And they will know best location etc. with amenities.

I am cruising there in august. We made reservations for Jamie’s blue reef. $60 for the chairs and unlimited food. Get good reviews about service. Beach area is eh but the whole stretch looks like that.

Thanks for all the great info, I will be on Allure in August!, so excited. And I love the casino, do you play $1 machines, if so, what’s your bet, max or $1. Just curious. I play pennies but each pull is about $4 anyway, lol. I don’t win big.

I have a 2BR aqua on Allure Star class booked for August. First time going with star class. I know that they help you off the ship (great bonus) but after the excursions can they help us get in if lines are long? We are doing excursions not associated with RC. also in everyone’s opinion (that likes Star) what could we request that’s fun for teens on Allure. There are no slides. In room ideas?

Hi thank you for your review! We are heading to Texas to sail on the Allure August 6! So excited. I was on oasis prior and I’m a little worried that the kids might be bored on allure bc there are no slides. But that’s dumb right? There’s still so much to do. They don’t go to the kids lounge bc of different ages. We are doing Star class with such a great deal!! I’m soooo excited to see Central Park again and be on an oasis class!!

I was on last week and the entertainment was Choir of Man, comedy shows and a magician. No Kinky Boots.

Yes it was wonderful!!! Windy at times but still doable. The suite itself is amazing!!!! We had 20 people in there for a cocktail party lol. For Alaska you’re not going to even need to go to the observation lounge. It’s going to be crazy nice!!! This pic is from the balcony.

The chef made me an array of Indian food and Asian food. Different every night. So good each time. My table was jealous lol.

We really enjoyed it if you are looking for a beach day. It’s well run and punctual. Food was good. Waves were fun. No seaweed. No money needed to spend extra on except tips.

We did the all inclusive Emotions in puerto plata and really enjoyed it. They help you get chairs to the beach and get you towels. Drink service at the beach is good. Food and drink included. Water was nice. Air condition bus brings you and picks up. There is shade available too. Pool is ok In St Thomas we did the NCL St John Champagne catamaran and it was not great. Long lines. 30 minute car ride to the marina and then 45 min boat ride to snorkel for 40 min. Then boat ride back and car ride back. The car to pick up was late and the whole thing I would not recommend. In Tortola we actually “booked a night” in the Wyndham and used their facilities. It was really nice and relaxing. Nassau we stayed on the boat.
