  1. Just disembarked from interior YC MRS Europa. It was 100% better than balcony cabin I had 3 months ago on the same ship. YC territory is huge with very few people. Much better than the balcony (in November in your case)
  2. Had the same 3 days ago. Yc consierge assisted me with moving my belongings. We left them inside the cabin halfpacked (dresses on hangers). I went through immigration with hand luggage at 9 am. It was christmas morning so we decided to visit our friends for lunch. Arrived at the port around 4 pm, went through immigration. In our YC cabin welcome pack was as if it was our first day on board. The only difference is that we could book excursions and restaurants (but not shows) for our YC cabin while we were living in the balcony cabin.
  3. @Nunagoras, first some words about us. We are foodies, family of 2 adults + 2 toddlers. First time on MSC. When I googled food pictures taken in the main restaurants I understood we are not ready to eat there. I also read somewhere that you can't use your drinks package in specialty restaurants (seems it is not true) so we had not prepurchaised any drinks. We live in Abu Dhabi where beer cost around 12 pounds per glass, cocktail around 20, so prices on MSC boat looked reasonable (6 euro for beer, 8-12 for a glass of wine, 12-18 for champaigne, but champaigne portions are small). La Pescaderia is the only specialty restaurant with outside seating (at promenade level). The menu is at the attachment. I had concerns before embarkation that i won't be able to book specialty restaurants but while on board they ALL are emply at 6-8 pm. Our family were the only guests at La Pescaderia that evening. Kids had amazing grilled seabass, we chose fresh scallops, langoustine, grilled sand lobster and black cod. All was Perfect. But at the champaigne bar you can order top-tier platter of scallops, oysters, crab etc for 85 euro. Stunning. Coffee at coffee emporium is realy-realy-realy good. 4 euro. It seems it is included in drink package. Have nor tried Jean Phillipe yet.
  4. Fantastic specialty restaurants! (From my point of view 4 dining expierence package for 125 euro pp is worth buying) The first 3 nights i was in balcony cabin, then for 6 nights i'm in YC. Poor internet connection. I'm using my uae sim card in roaming mode.
  5. Hi again, have just received my documents. Don't have diamond status indication anywhere. No extra onboard credit, no priority check in... ((( The app still shows "10000 points, no status" the agent tells this diamond will work for future booking only, after the end of this first cruise
  6. Mine is additional offered by my TA. My original booking rate has not any obc offer. And also my 50 usd as for diamond member is not written anywhere.
  7. I can see it in the app: Profile- My cruise info- Included in your cruise package. Just under "items included" i can see my "ship board credit"
  8. The "msc for me" does not allow to make printscreens. Now the app shows no status (after status match line "welcome status" dissappeared), 10000 points and benefits for orange "welcome" card. So I don't have a reason for discount as my agent told me 😃 But you're right, i should probably receive cruise ticket with diamond status
  9. I had the same issue 2 weeks ago. My agent wrote somewhere and returned with the news that they don't status match. I've found the link at the website for my region wrote there and in 2-3 days received my new diamond card (that is not active before the beginning of the cruise so i can't use diamond perks at embarktion for example) I also asked for my husband and they sent me status match table exactly as the one that is attached to one of the topics here (including not only crise lines but also expedia and china airlines)
  10. Their cabin packages have fantastic value! We are sailing from UAE, where Antinori Peppoli Chianti cost 27 eur in Duty free. MSC also offers Moet Chandon Brut with strawberries for 69 eur (Romantic sunset package). The Duty free price for it 50 eur and 80 eur in liquor shops across UAE. And for 99 eur MSC would bring you Veuve Clicquot Brut + strawberries+ fruits+souvenir flutes (Deluxe package). 85 euro in duty free ,110 eur in liquor shops in the UAE
  11. Thank you for your comment! Oh, great that you've noticed this. And great that you were not charged for the second reservation change (as I understood from reading this forum you could be charged for everything that may cause lost profit while on board MSC 😂)
  12. @perakcruiser, Thank you, sounds awesome 😃
  13. Hello everyone! I'm newbie here. Carefully read some discussions here but still have some questions. We are 2+2 toddlers sailing Dec 22 2022 From Abu Dhabi for 3 nights. MSC Application shows that my embarkation time is 3 pm. 1) I need somehow to book specialty dinner for the 1st night. How easy is it usually to book them? Can i book in advance (i've found reply NO in one topic here dated 2020, maybe something has changed from that time)? I'm worried that all specialty restaurants would be fully booked be those who are cruising from Doha and Dubai (Abu Dhabi is the 3rd stop of this ship and it a few cabins available, most of the cruisers would be from Dubai) I already did status match so i am MSC diamond member (and have 1 specialty dinner). I also put in the cart "The finest four - 4 dining expierences" for specialty restaurants. So if I am charged fror this I should have 3 dinners+2 lunches specialty prepaid. Will they make efforts to find places for me? If I ask anyone who is boarding in Doha or Dubai to reserve a place for me for Dec 22, will restaurant manager onboard accept this reservation? (The main point is that I met my husband Dec 22 2012 while cruising so I want to celebrate it Dec 22 2022 at the 1st day of this short cruise, not any other day 😃 ) BTW, maybe anyone knows what are usual opening times for lunch and dinner for MSC Kayto Teppanyaki and Butcher's Cut? Are there any restaurants that are open for dinner only? I understand, that 2 venues on MSC Europa are absolutely new for MSC, but what about others? 2) I'm pretty sure that our cabin won't be occupied (there were no 2 night cruises from Doha advertised). Is it a chance that i can arrive berofe 3pm and allowed to come on board at 11 or 12? Thanks a lot in advance for everyone who read! 😃
