Also, while in any US ports you will be charged sales tax on each drink (not included with drink package). In the LA port, the sales tax was 10% (so around $1.50 per drink until you are in international waters).
With the FAS, you would only pay the gratuities…which is $21.80 per person, per day.
if you have 2 cocktails a day, you will come out ahead with the FAS drinks, as they tend to be $10-12 plus 20% per cocktail. And the FAS drink package also includes fountain soda and virgin cocktails (around $4 and $8 each).
They want a photo without anything else in the background. If they don’t like the photo for some reason, they will take a new one when you check in at the port.
I was on the Joy over Christmas. There was information in the daily towards the end of the week.
Additionally, luggage tags were delivered to all cabins (I think on day 5 or 6?)…we didn’t have to grab them from a rack near Guest Services. They organized the luggage tag colors/disembarking time by the location of the cabin (deck 10 port, deck 10 starboard, etc).
If I remember right, you walk past the regular to get to the large. But there were stairs to get to the regular, the large didn’t have stairs. And they had some sort of ride (I can’t remember what it was) for those who couldn’t walk far.
This was in 2017…so things may have changed and/or I may not be remembering correctly.
