  1. @marshhawk thanks for giving us a peek at the kitties ❤️ I wouldn't be able to keep all those names straight, so good for you!! And I hope there's not a test later - I cannot handle failure this early in the day 🙄 Jersey - love it!! Here's my one-and-only (Mini Max) doing what he does best - keeping the dog off my lap. Well crud - CC wants him upside down & will not let me fix it...
  2. Hey Jacqui @kazu when you update, would change my Sept 28 Eurodam AK cruise to reflect 35th anniversary, please? Apparently math is not my area of expertise 🫣 Although, in fairness to me, it was 34 years when we booked the cruise last year 🙄 As tough as this year has been (and still is) I want full credit for all the days, lol 😏 Thank you and thanks for all you do to keep us ducks in a row...
  3. HA = Holland America (also HAL = Holland America Line) HIA = Have it All
  4. A couple places near me are hosting Mud Day celebrations. Sanitation is important, so I will support a Mud Day. Apparently Mud is a very old word - who knew? Not me Forecast today is 100° - maybe a mud bath will help cool things off.
  5. @fsdj1097 breakfast in PG is the best!!
  6. Does seem a trip to the ER is in order, especially since it's the weekend now and next week is likely a reduced office schedule due to the holiday. That really seems a long time to be on IV antibiotics w/no improvement. Prayers 🙏 and hugs.
  7. PS = Pinnacle Suite NS = Neptune Suite CO = Club Orange HC = Handicap / assisted Apologies - I get so used to abbreviations I forget that everyone doesn't know them (or can read my mind, lol).
  8. CO = Club Orange HC = Handicap
  9. Nutritionist has not called back, so likely won't hear from her til next week. Hmm, next week is a short week w/the holiday, so maybe it will be the following week before she calls. Made final payment today on Sept AK cruise for our anniversary. We were departing on Sept 21, which is our actual anniversary. When that got canceled due to a charter, they moved us to the next week departing Sept 28. Fingers crossed 🤞 I'm able to go. Now to determine if I can do the Oosterdam Oct TA...
  10. Yes a screenshot of your boarding pass works just fine (that's what we use). Just be sure they have barcodes. Your luggage tags are available as soon as you complete your online check in. You can download them or email them (to yourself or someone else). Their availability is not tied to final payment, so you can actually print them almost as soon as you book. I say almost because you have to complete the online check in.
  11. @kazu 🤞🙏 Ivan's visit is uneventful. @1ANGELCAT I hope you learn the identity of your new neurologist and that you like them. @Nickelpenny I hope your new sutures hold and you're able to find another way to relax your back since standing under a direct water stream seems to be out. Hugs @Vict0riann glad you are on the road to recovery. Nutritionist called this morning while I was on a work call. I hope when I call her back later today she tells me we can do all virtual appointments; surely she doesn't need to physically see me. Should be interesting what she recommends since we don't know what kind of stones I have. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  12. @scamper I will also cast support for Tamarind and I don’t eat seafood - it's that good!
  13. FWIW, I think w/o priority boarding status, you'll find yourselves spending time waiting to board the earlier you arrive. Once the majority of the group of early arrives has boarded, the lines will be shorter and you'll move through quicker. Have a great trip - I hope your friends get hooked on cruising!!
  14. I believe noon is what now shows on everyone's boarding pass for check in time. Then boarding is still priority first (PS, NS, CO, 5*, 4*, HC) followed by the remaining passengers.
  15. In the past few months. Dec & Jan MDR was open for lunch, so it was after early Jan this year that MDR is no longer open for lunch on embarkation day. Staggered check in times began before then.
  16. Yep, I get TA can do all that, but what about completing the check-in details and printing luggage tags? Those things are frequently hard to do due to website issues.
  17. For many people, using TAs only solves the booking challenges because, as @Mary229 said, there's other online details to tend to. Even if one doesn't book excursions, dining, spas, etc there's still check-in, luggage tags, etc that require a functional website.
  18. IMO, it increases waste as people tend to get more food and leave more of it uneaten in the Lido than MDR (which, of course, has controlled portion sizes).
  19. Update from today's appointments- Neurologist tapering off the current med as it puts me to sleep and gives me brain fog - neither of which is ideal for someone who still works. He's prescribing something else pending Cardiologist & Pulmonologist approvals. I don't think I'll take it due to potential side effects. Urologist says scan shows my "visitors" have not vacated (I think they've overstayed their reservation & surely it's eviction time) 1 stone still high up in left kidney & 3 in the right one, which is what previous scan showed after the lower one had passed. So, the waiting game continues. He says we need to determine what's causing them.
  20. @bennybear Happy Birthday to your dear Aunt & congrats to her for reaching a great milestone. 🍰🥳🥂
  21. I reacll a thread about AARP gift card discount being reduced from 10% to 8%; it's old enough I thought Carnival would have also changed by now. Nope - Carnival is still at 10%; they cannot be used on HAL (or Princess, or...). I appreciate the discount as it's better than no discount, but am frustrated by the inconsistent offerings - same family should either all be at the same discount or allow parent company cards to be used on any of its lines. Quick math - discount on $2000 more than covers a 7-day Thermalpass; since I buy one every cruise, I think that's a good deal.
