This was the first time I had a problem also. The ship did not go to the port because of a hurricane. It was a group tour and I think the group consisted of cruise ship passengers because the tour did not take place. But since I did not cancel before the 72 hour timeframe they did not refund me any money even though they didn't even conduct the tour. I'll just have to be more mindful next time.

Just be mindful of cancellation policies. We had to skip a few ports due to weather and the excursion that I booked would not refund my money. My fault because I did not thoroughly read the cancellation policy of 72 hours.

When we were on the Caribbean in September we boarded around 11:00 and they would not let us enter the hallway to our cabin until about 1:45.

I tried to send in for the OBC via email mid-March and received no response. Sent it again about a week later and was told to use the app. I really did not want to download another app but for the OBC that's what I did. I only filled out the mandatory info. It was pretty simple and I received my verification within 3 days.

Despite having problems I'm so grateful to this forum, I would have never found out about the AARP gift cards or the stock perks. Every little bit helps 🙂

I tried Friday and Saturday on my laptop (work & home), I called and the person said it may be due to popup blockers. I tried my iphone yesterday logged in via google and I was able to purchase. Maybe I just caught it right.

I recently had a problem purchasing them on the site from my computer. I called AARP customer service but they couldn't help me. I was able to purchase on my phone.

Thank you so much for posting all this information and allowing me to take the journey with you. My husband and I will be on the Discovery in May and we are really looking forward to it.

Thanks for posting this. We are on the discovery in May and trying to decide between Plus and Premier. I have a question if the plus package is up to $15.00 why are some of the spirits listed under premier less then $15.00, for example Old Forrester Original Batch is listed under Premier but it is $14.00? Also for Plus wines are there name brands or is it just generic Pinot, Shiraz.....? Thanks 🙂

Went on a family cruise a few years ago (another cruise line). My nieces "borrowed" a few upside-down pineapples (they did not take them all) from some ones door and put them on a relatives door. Hilarity ensued.

We didn't consider ordering while in the MDR. We didn't realize that the food came from the Crown Grille. The Crown did offer several different types of steaks and better appetizers, specialty salts and we liked the atmosphere.

My husband and I were on the Caribbean Princess Sept 9-19. We thought it was great. The ship was older but everything was maintained and taken care of, I would not say anything was worn or shabby. The staff was fantastic and we did not notice any shortages. The food was the food - buffet was OK, MDR some meals better than others, just like any other cruise I've been on. We did do one specialty night at the Crown Grille and the food was very very good, I think it was worth the extra $$ and the food was better than the MDR. The internet worked fine for us, my husband brought his laptop and we watched college games on Saturday, I texted pictures browsed/posted to Facebook and reviewed emails with no problem. Our toilet did have an issue but was fixed within an hour. No smells in the hallways that others here have reported. The AC worked well. We'd go on the ship again.
