  1. But you can't actually get drinks at all hours correct? And the only people that I think may remember me would be the vibe staff.. And even then I wouldnt be upset if they didnt remember me from day to do.. But they did lol.. When you 99% of the time just order long islands, the figure that one out pretty quickly.. And thanks to them for making real ones and not using the pre-mix parts.. I mean, hey, they aren't costing me any extra and they still do the job, but the real ones for sure taste a lot better..
  2. Excited to follow along.. We are going on the Epic in a club balcony in December.. Slight concerned just because of the age and the uniqueness of the rooms... Hopefully your trip will get us super excited and allay some of our concerns!!
  3. ohh i did forget there were cookies a couple times I was up there!
  4. They had the bar mix, and I cannot remember if we had fruit anytime or not.. I just know the water pitchers, bar snack mix (but think you can get it at any bar if you ask) They brought towels around to you, and think one really warm day they maybe brought cold towels? And of course shot o'clock :D..
  5. Now for my input.. I didnt see where your cruise was.. I'll assume warm weather.. If not warm weather, no IMO it's not worth it.. On our 7 day cruise I cannot remember if 1 or 2 days it was not open due to high winds.. Of course that was a sea day.. Cruising plus headwind = no vibe for the day (actually no top 2 decks, both closed) I did hang out around the bar / smoking area on deck 16 *escape* and while I didnt hate it, for sure way more crowded and lots longer to get a drink than the vibe.. I tried spice h2o and really didnt like it. So for us, yes, it's worth it.. It's pricy, but dang it's nice having nice cold water brought around, drinks getting replenished without having to get up, no crowd, nice and quiet, get to know the people there.. Just really like it.. But you do have to know going in that if the weather sucks, well, it sucks to be you as you wont get use out of it....
  6. We have purchased ours for our Feb 2025 escape trip.. Actually bought them 2/4/24 for a 2/1/2025 sailing. And as stated, as long as deposit was paid you can purchase addons.. Doesnt have to be 100% paid.
  7. When i made our 1st ever reservation I was assigned a cruise person at NCL.. I stupidly assumed (yea I know) that anytime I would make a reservation I would be assigned that same person if I booked on NCL.com.. Well, guess that ain't how this works.. Is there anyway to make sure a PCC gets some kudos for helping me even though it wasn't assigned to them? Or what I'd love to do is get them a gift card or something, but no clue how that would work.. I'm just frustrated that I dont know how to assign that person this last cruise I had booked.
  8. we were super disappointed in it.. It's the first time I've ever had rice with garlic in it.. But even with all the seasoning and stuff in it, it was just bland.. And we love hibachi places. But we were also super sad with Maderno (sp) also.. Everything was so dry.. Only decent specialty dining we had was Cagney's... This was the Escape in December 2023.. But, I'm sure others loved them.. Sooo.. there you go.. 🙂
  9. lol i came looking for the same answer 😄 So I shall wait with you... 🙂
  10. I dont know who else you're going with, but if you arent a drinker and like quick access to the bar, the vibe may not the best money spent BUT it will for sure be quiet and have ample loungers available.. If THAT is what you are looking for 100% worth it.. The thermal spa is great on the Escape.. I loved it for the 2 hours I used it.. I never went back to it just because I didnt.. So it's great IF you are going to use it.. the stone loungers and all the other rooms are great!!!
  11. I personally have never cared about 2 times a day rooms service.. I guess if I had kids and had to put away / get out the beds then it would be nice, but other than that, I'm not in my room.. As far as food quality, this was my first cruise and I had no real issues with what I got to eat. Main dining room was awesome, buffet was fine, Osheehans was great.. And if you dont get enough, and it's not an extra pay place, ASK FOR MORE!!! As far as pricing goes, unless you've been under a rock EVERYTHING (but my wages) have gone up a LOT.. Doesnt matter what it is.. And with cruises pretty much booking up, there is zero reason for them to lower prices etc etc plus they still have higher costs on everything... I can still find what I consider good pricing for stuff in more off seasons.. EDIT: I was / am bummed about only 1 full production show.. I really did enjoy Choir of Man but wish there were more options.. I know other lines have more options it seems..
  12. This 100% something that is true.. They will never come right out and say it, but it don't take much reading between the lines.. I know there have been a couple of Kroger stores and a walmart that have closed in the last few months in areas that really, really need a grocery store, but have such a high loss, that they just closed them down.. They are in areas that have lots of elderly and also low income, and they get robbed blind..
  13. LOL I swear one day I resembled that remark.. 😄 (the number, not the obviously too much) Those long island iced teas sure do go down nice and smooth... And no headache / hangover since they dont have tons of sugars / juices in them....
  14. Is it because it's a non USA based cruise that you could have 3 adults in a room and not have the FAS / drinks package? I thought if one adult had it, everyone over 21 had to? Again, maybe due to where the cruise is?
  15. No limit.. But I'm sure if you are starting to act a certain way they can cut you off.... But I know dang well I was over that many on one of my days lol.. I was a happy dude that day...
  16. 100% a lanyard.. Used to do disney a couple times a year and would do pin trading so got so used to having everything on a lanyard, I feel naked without it lol.. I dont do the pools or anything so works for me.. And hate carrying a wallet around with cruise shorts as they dont have as deep of pockets and are "slippier" and I've had my wallet fall out of my pocket while sitting on lounge chairs and stuff.
  17. Cool, that gives me an idea when to actually start paying attention lol..
  18. When will I be able to see pricing and purchase a drinks package? Only done NCL before and even the upgrades can be done now for a cruise in 2025.. Just booked voyager for april 2025 and no add ons available at this point.. When should I expect to be able to see pricing / purchase stuff?
  19. The early riser is going to be more your continental breakfast. Wont have any of the hot stuff.. You'll have like cereal, bagels, toast, some fruit maybe? I personally dont really remember them 'closing' from 630-700, and normally they were "open" part of the full buffet before 7 anyway. Then as it got busier would open more and more sections of it.
  20. Ok I never reported back about my Vibe experience. We loved it.. Loved the quick service and more than anything the much more quiet area. Sure you could get a drink at the pool bars, but it for sure took longer and was of course much more crowded. So was not bad to get a drink, but sometimes seating wasnt the easiest. Spice H2O you could normally find a seat fairly easily, but again, bar kinda nuts. Was 1 sea day it was closed (as was the top 2 decks) with head wind plus movement was just too windy. THAT is the only thing you have to be willing to chance. There is a chance it could be closed depending on weather conditions. But anytime we are doing a warm weather cruise, if it has it available, pretty sure we will try to book it. Do you NEED it? No, but there are many things on a cruise you dont need, but you may want. Also, never was offered the containers of water to take back. But were often offered pitchers of water and glasses of ice to have to drink at the loungers and normally could time the drinks so when finished, they were coming around asking if you were ready for next. Saw fruit skewers 1 times I think, but really didnt care much about those, but the water was nice to have there.
  21. For warm weather places I'll take my chances with the vibe over the spa.. We had a spa balcony room and I used the spa exactly 1 time for about 90 minutes.. Was nice, but not worth it.. used the vibe 3 or 4 days :D.. for alaska, i'd swap and if i got either would be spa 🙂
  22. Appears you are getting MUCH better seas pretty quickly!! YAY.. From what I can see, unless something is really messed up, still shows the Disney Fantasy in port.... Hoping you have a much better week of weather!!!
  23. Check another line and see what they have for similar itinerary. But not surprised Alaska fees are going up as popular as it is.
