  1. Hi may your surgery go well today, and not too painful recovery. I hope your trial with new dog goes well. (toys look good) He seems like a good match and will give you lots of love. A little distraction for anniversary of your dear husbands passing. After loosing my cat Jerry a number of weeks ago, I have put in an application for a new kitten (or 2) at our local rescue. House is too quiet. Take care and stay strong. My best wishes for those on the care list, and celebration list. Kate
  2. It is the Volendam, Vancouver to Alaska and then back down to Vancouver, After pouring over the tours we decided on Glacier and whale sightings, White train and BBQ and the Lumberjack show and crab fest. Funny, a friend of his had gone on a celebrity cruise March Break, and said he had lots of fun, and Logan was just going on an educational cruise. Logan spoke up and said "you don't know my Nana, my trip is going to be fun and educational." Thanks for listing us. Kate
  3. Hi Jacqui Myself and my 12 year old grandson Logan going on Volendam Aug. 2 - 9 2023, Our first trip together, and very excited. Please add our names to your list. thanks Kate
  4. I was on the Noordam 2022 for the Pacific/Australia 69 day trip. Moorea port was a wash out. It rained the whole time. A number of CC snorkelers had booked a private tour months before, and we were picked up by our guide, taken to his home and we got on his speed boat to try and outrun the storm. Although we stayed out for quite some time, rocking and crashing through the waves, we never got to snorkel. We all gave him gas money. Very disappointed. I was the only one that got in the ocean, I fell off the back of the boat, getting in. Kate
  5. I was last year on the Grand Voyage Pacific and around Australia. Geraldton was one of our ports. It was a lovely, hot sunny day. I took the shuttle into town, and then onto a hop on hop off bus. Our bus driver was a stand in, as the town was not prepared to have so many visitors. He was not a very good driver, and side swiped a parked car. There was considerable damage, and he just yelled at us to get off, and drove off. Leaving us on the sidewalk. Another bus came along and we continued our tour of lovely Geraldton. It was a steep trek to the war memorial and glad I was on the bus. The whole town was lovely and well worth a visit. Kate
  6. sorry to hear about your junior cat Sasha. She looks like a lovely cat, I recently lost my cat Jerry but know he will be looking for her at the end of the rainbow bridge. Kate
  7. loved my signature suite on my 69 day Pacific and Australian cruise on the Noordam 2022. Much bigger room, bathroom, storage etc. i had booked it first, from HAL so got double points went from 2* to 4* Kate
  8. @cruising sister Nice car, I can't wait for.spring, here in the frozen north to get my 2005 Audi convertable out of storage. Never seen a winter, has always been stored. A gift from my late husband after he passed away. Thanks for all the lists and the CC community. Kate
  9. Today is rescue cat day, but too soon for me. Jerry is on my mind and in my heart. With the unsettled weather we have had, lots of snow and ice hitting the windows, I keep thinking I hear him Jumping off my (our) bed or running up the stairs. Perhaps one day I will get another cat but just not now. I am glad I have a new cruise, Volendam August 2nd to Alaska with my 12 yr. old grandson. We are looking forward to spending time together. As always Thank You for CC being a safe and kind place to be. Kate
  10. As many have said before me, this is a safe and comforting place. Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. Jerry was a wonderful companion, since losing my husband many years ago, he had an interesting personality (as I believe most cats do). I told my grandchildren that Jerry was ill and had to cross the rainbow bridge. They insisted my son drive them over to my house, (in a snow storm) to give me a hug. My little one, Emmett, age 5 said its ok Nana, there are lots of baby cats i can assopt? I think he meant adopt. Thanks again for your kindness
  11. Rough day today, my cat had not been feeling well for a few days, not eating, and hardly using the litter box. Jerry had multiple organ failure, could have been put on medication but could not stand him suffering. The vet and staff let me hold him when he was sedated and put to sleep, He was a black and white, tuxedo and would have been 14 on March 9th. I don't post much, but have gone through the sadness of many CC members loosing their beloved pets. He will be on the Rainbow Bridge now.
  12. Would never book on 8 deck under the Lido again. Morning, chairs and carts rolling back and forth, and the evening the same. I retire early in the evening, and it kept me awake while they were setting up for the next day. Especially the carts that had plates, and glasses. Cruising Katie
  13. Not sure about Florida, but they will pick up from Canada. I used them last October for my grand voyage, 69 days. But could not recommend them. I got an email from them, a day before leaving Canada, that my suitcase was being held in Cleveland and I owed $1.95 in customs fees. I was on hold for hours on their hot line and finally had young lady who assured me that they would clear my case, and get it to me on time. I could not take the chance that it would happen, so packed another case. Thankfully it did arrive in San Diego in time for departure, but put me through a lot of stress. Kate
  14. I was told on my 69 day trip, full laundry service was $414 US Kate
