  1. This isn't your only thread about confusion with this cruise. Why do think it's NCL's fault and not your agents, or your own?
  2. No policy that I know of, but because of the pre-bidding process, anyone who gets an upgrade will get it before you board the ship. Balconies will be gone to those who bid from an inside or ocean-view. There will be no more balconies to get.
  3. Thank you, Bird, for posting essentially nothing that hasn't already been said. I think I can ask for the board when I ask, do you actually read a thread, or do you just respond to random posts that catch your eye? I intend no disrespect. Just curious.
  4. No problem. As far as boarding, one plat, all plat.
  5. And yet, we'll have to do it a thousand times more.
  6. It's not boarding time, it's arrival time at the port. If you can't bid for an upgrade, right now, you're not going to get one at any price.
  7. 1) Check in is midnight Eastern time 2) You will get an "arrival time" -- 9:30 is earliest. Ship will start boarding around 11:30. With Platinum you will have early boarding. Your arrival time doesn't matter. 3) Go to the CruiseNext desk and book your special stuff immediately. It will fill up. 4) As Platinum, you can book all your dining at 125 days. Any bookable shows can be done at 21 days. I think I got all that right. Oh, and you will be invited to bid on upgrades. None will be available once you're on the ship.
  8. Pardon me, but I quoted your post for some of us small-letter challenged readers to read it. I wouldn't buy the Vibe. And I would bring a warm rain jacket, just in case. And Dramamine.
  9. You are correct. A bartender is a person who formulates and serves alcoholic or soft drink beverages behind the bar A bar server is responsible for taking orders and serving drinks to customers There is no such thing as a "roving bartender".
  10. I take it you've never been to Cagney's on a bad night? 🙄
  11. I often roll my eyes at you schmoop. But that's a good one right there.
  12. You're not reading the room. Some of us take the lack hashbrowns and cookies very seriously. 😆
  13. That's an understatement if I've ever heard one. Cast changes also provoke immediate fearmongering when the departing cast announces they are leaving.
  14. That seems strange. More details on restaurants you've tried? In your case, I would book tables for 8, and show up with 9. They will make it work.
  15. I've yet to have a ship run out of Crown Royal.
  16. Why, oh why, with all of your cruising experience, would you purposely subject yourself to a mass of child humanity? There are other options. Many.other.options.
  17. Yep. Horrible, terrible, mean and nasty. But yeah, it affects very few people. Sucks to be those few people though. Water is tough to find.
  18. Shoot. I was patiently waiting for the obtusividous *asterisk from UK or Bird.
  19. Personally, I wouldn't give a 🐀's arse about the price. 😎 Buy it, get the benefit, sell it or wait. No-brainer.
  20. What? Priority Access (a complete waste of money) has nothing to do with your bags. You either give your bags to a porter before you enter the terminal, or you carry them on. There is no "checking bags at check in". Your bags will be delivered directly to your room, either by NCL, or by you.
  21. NCL is huge on cruise vlogger YT videos (at least mine). I get few mailings. It's the difference between mass bombing and a more surgical approach.
  22. Unless you have one favorite shirt you wear, a lot. 😄
  23. Don't confuse me with a financial advisor, but I wouldn't count on a big dip anytime soon.
  24. Same. And all NCL deposits are refundable, so easy cancel and rebook, if necessary.
