Told yesterday by a senior staff member that the Retreat had not been a financial success and is to be replaced with a number of select suites with keycard access only to that deck

I am someone who books our own air fares, knowing that if departure/arrival ports change for any reason that it is my responsibility /loss. If someone doesn’t want this responsibility/risk then they should book flights through Seabourn. If you want a guarantee of specific places to visit, book a land holiday instead of a cruise. I am not looking to offend but I do think that many people on these boards feel entitled to the best of all worlds. My old Nana’s saying. “ you can’t have your cake and eat it “

Thanks for the response. My cruise is early December. The TA never mentioned that OB bookings are not offered paid upgrades / upsell offers and I hadn’t noticed that on reading other posts.

Hope I am using correct wording as first time poster - have read some previous posts on this topic. We are booked on an OB fare for first Seabourn cruise. Has anyone recently received any upsell or paid upgrade offers for the Ovation in December 23 or January 24? Would love to do this if available Thanks
