  1. I wouldn’t say it wouldn’t be repeated - odd fares do come up - particularly when new season is launched 😀 I have a 30 day med cruise this summer in a Penthouse Spa for £9999 per person before travel agent and FCD discounts booked on launch day. Within 3 days of booking it went to £25000 a person, which is the more realistic price. I also found a 14 day Penthouse Spa in Far East for February 24 for £4999 a person ( before discounts) which I booked. Only took a day on that one to move to £11200 a person.
  2. The cruise you refer to was the one discussed on the boards that was offered at a ridiculously low price for the Penthouse when first advertised. The pricing now is the more realistic price that it would have been expected to be advertised at. I have booked this type of bargain in the past - it invariably increases and corrects in price later. Be glad you have a bargain on your V3 😀
  3. Based in UK. Full balance does not need to be paid to use Stockperks and have credit applied. Done it for 4 cruises booked between June and December 24.
  4. My cousin does not travel in high grade suites. The Seabourn cruise was in the Caribbean in December 23 - paid $2200 pp for 14 nights with a well known online agent and was given OBC by them (based on cruise pp price). I looked on their website and another well known discount one when she rang me and was frankly shocked at how low the price was. I personally don’t think it helps the brand going forward to be selling low cost cruises as Carnival as a company is looking to make a profit. If Seabourn is sold - the buyer surely would not be looking to maintain the product at low prices. I note that Silversea and some others have excursions which don’t interest me but even factoring that in, in my opinion Seabourn prices have been absurdly low in comparison for a 6 star cruise line looking to maintain standards. As has been noted the price of many excellent hotels have increased greatly - my usual hotel suite has increased 40% this year. If someone isn’t happy with Seabourn pricing there are many alternatives but I don’t believe they will be booking a 6 star cruise line cheaper than Seabourn 😀
  5. Obviously there are large price increases but Seabourn has actually been ridicously lower priced than Silversea for the last 2 years. A cousin of mine booked a first Seabourn cruise and said not much difference in price to her last HAL cruise with a drinks package. People moan about deterioration in Seabourn and that Silverea are maintaining better standards but actually only want to pay for a cheap product. It is each to their own if they book a Seabourn cruise but although you may decide not to book another, there are many that will. On a Seabourn cruise in January, Hotel Director told me 55 % of passengers onboard were first time Seabourn cruisers.
  6. I too hope the ship offers a transfer to Venice airport 😀
  7. Thanks for commentary. Without going into details, We carry far too many expensive items to dump luggage or take our carry ons anywhere. I was really looking for the practicality of getting from one ship to the other. Your comment about Seabourn Square has reminded me I get free transport to and from the ship and will thus ask for it to be to the Cunard check in and just sit there for an hour and a half. Thanks to everyone for comments.
  8. I can board the ship at 12 noon and have seen Rome and surrounding area many times 😀 Just looking to get onboard as fast and efficiently as we can.
  9. Booked a 30 day med cruise on Seabourn ending in Rome. Been meaning to try a Cunard grill suite and decided it was fate when I saw availability on the the day we leave Ovation. We are now faced with practicalities. There are 5 ships in the Port of Rome that day ( including the ship we leave and the ship we board). I will look to stay on Ovation as late as possible - from cruises taken recently around 9.45 - 10am. Informed by Cunard we have priority boarding as a Q1 suite. We have lots of luggage - not possible to walk even if ship close by. Internet suggests taxis are not looking to do very short journeys. Anyone familiar with Port of Rome? Anyone changed ships in a different port and has tips? Thanks for any help.
  10. We received the same email and responded. When on our cruise in November 23, the pins in the small blue Tiffany bags were left in our suite. Today we have received cards congratulating on our 100 sailed days and another two pins - difference is these are in Seabourn small boxes and have no reference to Tiffany !
  11. You can book once a reservation is confirmed ( I can see the packages available up to our December 2025 cruises) BUT if you have combined cruises ie I have a 30 night cruise booked for June 2024 - this is actually three 10 night cruises - then it does not show a package price - just individual sea days or port days.
  12. Log into your booking. Click on “manage my booking” Section headed “Before you leave” - click on The Retreat Reservations.
  13. My 20 day cruise (02 grade) is £3500 more than new open release prices, so they did give a discount 😀
  14. Friend rang Seabourn last week who has only sailed on them once on a 7 night cruise to book a Dec 25 cruise. They asked her for her Seabourn membership number. Once logged into her account they told her the launch sailing cruises were not yet available for her to book.
  15. Available to book through travel agent if gold and above until 24/2 and then on general sale
  16. We cruised Hong Kong to Singapore mid January this year. The first five days were rainy and cold. Many like ourselves had inadequate clothing 😀
  17. I have just checked online and still no prices for the December 25 Caribbean cruises
  18. Rang TA for a quote as stated and told they can’t live access the pricing on the new releases and they also have to call Seabourn. Hassle and time wasting for everyone especially when requesting numerous permutations of suite and back to backs
  19. Currently in a cruise - when log in automatically giving me Australian pricing. Dont want to queue to sit with travel person onboard. Anyone know how to log into UK pricing when outside UK? Thanks
  20. On Encore on the moment - choose wines as go along - he tells you when you hit a target for a free bottle and asks if wish to continue to next level. Drinking Opus One at moment and thus hit top target for a free $200 bottle on night one 😀
  21. Just received an email re November 25 Seabourn Ovation transatlantic crossing to Barbados has been changed to San Juan due to “deployment changes”
  22. Did the transatlantic on Ovation and stayed on for the next two weeks in Caribbean ( currently on our last week). Pleasantly surprised that not only has there been more men in dinner suits than on the transatlantic but also many younger men also in dinner suits. Dining room tonight looked great - many men in dinner suits and many women in great dresses. My husband and I like to wear formal wear 😀
  23. Credits applied yesterday at start of cruise
