Can honestly say the Hong Kong and Taiwan groups are extremely quiet and certainly not boisterous or demanding - never hear their voices - only some loud American / Europeans who are in parties of 2 ! We are a party of 2 that actually enjoy the peace and quiet. I assure you we would notice the change π

Currently on Ovation - this cruise was sold out many months ago prior to documentation re Seabourn pushing charters and groups. Currently on board there is a part of of approx 42 people from Hong Kong doing a golfing holiday. There is approx a party of 38 from Taiwan. There are two large family parties of approx 20 plus each. Only thing of note that it is difficult for dining room staff on nights they have all arrived at same time. Can honestly say I have heard no comments that it has made any difference to anyone onboard. I called into the card room one day as Herald advertised un hosted Mahjong - having watched the ladies from Taiwan in action for 10 minutes - I graciously opted out after watching them play in awe π. To be fair, they did ask me to participate π

Number of Hong Kong / Singapore 14 night itineraries before this in December / Jan / Feb but no idea how ship is going to Singapore π

Singapore to Kobe to Hawai to LA to Miami via Panama Canal. Then second cruise is a crossing Miami to Lisbon to Rome. This is only currently available to book if you were already booked on the cruises that have been cancelled. Goes live to everyone else early July.

March 25 has been given a new itinerary. Booked guests can transfer and pay new price with a 10% discount ( in most cases this is way above what was previously paid) or have a full refund.

Is this a cold weather cruise?

November 24, March 25 and March 26 cruises involving suez cancelled. Why would November 25 still be available for sale? Assume this will also be cancelled so no point booking?

Adriatic Sea/Ionian Sea cruises suddenly sold out
Isr45 replied to Vineyard View's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
Interesting that this cruise was cancelled for 2026 but heard nothing for our cruise the opposite way in November 25 -
There are a couple of very large well known online cruise agencies in US who have a special lower fare that is specifically stated as deposit non refundable. Last year they had some absolute bargains on this type of fare for anyone looking to book an OB. Many TAs cannot access these fares and that is why you probably have never heard of them.

As our first cruise is on the horizon the table comments have made me think. Used to a superb table on Seabourn and never thought could be given a bad table π

We were last onboard in January but there are changes in the champagne - once was purely that they ran out of stock - to be fair they enhanced the champagne usually provided. I have read before that people say they can take the Champagne elsewhere ( we do full cruise Retreat every time). Twice I have seen someone ask to take the champagne and been told no it is for consuming in the Retreat. In January I saw someone put the bottle in their bag and they came over to say couldnβt do that. That one resulted in a semi heated argument where the Hotel Director was called who specifically stated the champagne was for consumption in the Retreat. I am not saying it has not been done but am saying you can be told no π

My husband always buys the wines. He picks as he goes and as stated they tell you when due a free one. A free one keeps being given when you spend the required amount again etc. As to price (we are diamond so receive 25% discount) there are great deals, ok deals and poor deals. My husband is charged less for Opus One onboard than we could buy it at a wine shop in the UK. You really need to check the wines on the list that appeal and then decide if you are comfortable with that price for that wine π

I booked the Retreat online for full cruise last year having forgot about my OBC. My travel agent contacted Seabourn and they refunded it to my credit card.

I used $500 of the spa credits on hair products in the hair salon in the spa - donβt see that body products etc would be any different π

That is not what I said. I said I and many others would not book in advance and pay full price if they were going to sell off cheap upgrades further down the line - why waste money on a cruise line that does that π
-
Not yet sailed on Cunard but know Seabourn/ Silversea / Crystal very well. They donβt reduce the top suites upgrade price or give free upgrades to top suites if upsell offers are not taken and would rather see the top suites unoccupied. The reason being they recognise it is actually more profitable to retain the business of myself and many others who always book the top suites at full price than giving cheap upsell offers π

So many more questions about first time Seabourn on Ovation
Isr45 replied to Salf777's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
My experience of booking 4 full Retreat packages in last 12 months is all full package guests on our cruises picked from available cabanas on first day of cruise and had them every day. I think this is is fair when a full package is booked π -
Encore 21st November 2024 Dubai to Singapore just been cancelled!
Isr45 replied to mklions's topic in Seabourn Cruise Line
That decision was only made late January 24, which was too late to create new voyages for March. This time they could create and sell a voyage around the Horn as other cruise lines have done. Cunard has just announced world cruise 25 will not go through Suez and thus adjusted ports. Sojourn going from Cape Town to Europe February 25. -

Re Retreat booking - not true re not booking a particular cabana if book for the whole voyage. -
Shareholder credit went into account instead of booking

Once Stockperks confirmed, where do I actually see the OBC? Seeing nothing when I log into any of my cruises π -
Thank you π

Sorry to trouble you further - do you happen to know who the Head Chef is ? π

Thank you. I am now trying to think if I have previously met Maciej π

I booked a 30 day cruise and paid the deposit. 6 months later I qualified for a free cruise. Following qualification, my agent contacted Seabourn and they calculated the Β£ value of the free cruise based on my most frequent suite purchased. They then applied this to the already booked 30 day cruise before final payment was due.

Thank you so much for that. If you get the chance could you please ask who is their replacement in a months time.
