  1. Do you have a source for that from Celebrity? Because their FAQ clearly states "bar and culinary services staff"
  2. There is no lobster on the buffet. Ours had piles of crawfish in addition to shrimp, shellfish, cured salmon, etc.
  3. They get a share of the gratuities pool. That's the whole point to having the per-day gratuities (well, aside from making the overall cruise fare look cheaper). From Celebrity's FAQ: "Gratuities collected are distributed to crew members, including dining, bar and culinary services staff, stateroom attendants, hotel services teams as well as others onboard who work to enhance the overall cruise experience."
  4. I don't even understand the point to the tasting menu. We did the regular menu and for dessert we asked our server which of the four options he recommended. He said "all four, they are kinda small" and brought us all four. We were STUFFED after.
  5. I have a scale from Bottomless and rotate through whatever sounds good when my bag is running low. I typically order from west coast roasters to avoid USPS delays (Olympia Coffee Roasting my usual, but I also like Victrola, Bird Rock, Blossom, Kuma, Stamp Act, and Methodical). In the last year I've also had beans from Penstock, Revel, and Camber.
  6. I've seen mixed comments on it. Some people say if it's a European cruise they have them but if it's a US cruise they don't/won't/can't find one sometimes. I never bothered to ask since it was easier to deal with the spent grounds in the cafe than in my room.
  7. Just got off Celebrity Edge, thought I'd report on the coffee situation. I never saw pre-pulled shots at Al Bacio. I also never got coffee there since I'm a single origin snob. I didn't bother to ask my room attendant for a kettle. I ground beans I brought with me every morning and used hot water from the dispensers in the cafe to make a pour over. Worked great. For the times I was too lazy to do that I just got the Lavazza from the cafe and added enough cream and sugar to make it drinkable.
  8. Checking my app for my cruise departing tomorrow to Alasa, at 3pm is Camp at Sea: Kids Open House & Registration. Then there are Kids Camp at Sea activities at 7pm and 8pm. Check the app for your cruise and see what it says.
  9. Looks like they are made out of sea shells. Cool! https://www.strawfish.co/about-us
  10. I've never done it, but I've seen many people say they prefer the Vancouver departure over the Seattle because you spend less time out at sea and more time in interesting scenery.
  11. It sails the Alaska inside passage. Your screenshot doesn't show the Alaska inside passage, it shows Vancouver Island and the Strait of Georgia. The passage is farther north. Edit: Unless you mean the strait? The Vancouver departures go through there, the Seattle ones do not.
  12. Can you show up between 10:30-11 if your borading time is listed as noon? 🤔
  13. Our Alaska cruise in August is covered so I checked on some prices. Nothing spectacular, only 5% off the specialty dining restaurants. 15% off wifi, 20% off premium drinks. Meh.
  14. Ok thanks! Since it happened with all three of you I'm guessing they target direct bookings (or at least first, before moving on). I booked through a TA and haven't received an offer.
  15. For those of you who got the offer, did you book direct or through a travel agent?
  16. I'm on that sailing too. I want that offer!!!
  17. The butterfly garden is definitely the better of the two 😂
  18. @SerraG Did your garden & butterfly excursion stop at Tim Hortons too? In the app for my cruise in August it's listed as "Buchart Gardens and Taste of Tim Hortons".
  19. There is a non-alcohol beverage package, that's it. Nothing for soda only.
  20. A swim in the heated pools. I went to Laugardalslaug to ward off jet lag and it was such a fun experience, then I wolfed down a hotdog from Pylsuvagninn Laugardal out front after. Sandholt bakery is fantastic too.
  21. I was able to log in on the app and the website this morning, finally, after resetting my password to what it already was yesterday.
  22. I reset my password on desktop to the same password it used to be and was able to log in fine. Mobile app (Android) still doesn't work though.
  23. Same issue as everyone else, both last night and this morning. It's saying my password is incorrect which is... incorrect. I use a password manager, it's defintely the password that worked before.
