  1. If you already own 100 shares of carnival, might as well put in for it. If you don't use it, no loss, but it's there in case...
  2. Which, of course, the seller knew and took advantage of buyers that didn't know better. Likely by the time the customer found out it wasn't paid, the return window would have elapsed.
  3. Amazon doesn't regulate the sellers. Seller could claim it cures cancer, and it would take someone filing a complaint with govt or a lawyer sending letter to Amazon to get them to drop product.
  4. If you are a member of AAA, this is likely something they can help you out with.
  5. One thing I learned with COViID was that not everyone has a cell phone, and some who do don't know how to use it. There are a lot of people out there that are afraid of tech, others that just can't retain the info. Early days covid, we were on zoom daily, and man asked about a month in whether there were long distance charges for dial in. Woman said no, but then double checked with me cuz I worked in phone industry. Checked with man, and he was calling in with landline, and had no LD package. He had a $200 bill for the month. (Thankfully phone company knocked it down to $20). I sent a different friend a Google maps link, and she didn't understand that she should click on the underlined words to get a map. Smart phone adoption and evolution has been astounding, but a significant portion of the U.S. has been left behind, to say nothing of other countries.
  6. I enjoy elegant night. I dress in jeans 99% of the time, so having an occasion to look and feel good is a treat. I also look at those folks who show up in shorts and flip-flops on elegant night as showing a lack of respect to their fellow travelers. Invariably, those are the loud, self-absorbed "typical Americans" that give us a bad name overseas as tourists. Just because you can get away with breaking "rules" and societal norms, doesn't mean you should. (One exception I have sympathy for is lost luggage)
  7. I agree, 27 people, multiple families, getting everyone together at onetimeevery night will be like herding cats. Choose 1 or 2 nights to try it close together, but the rest in smaller blocks. I've noticed that as the cruise goes on, fewer and fewer people show up to MDR (exceptelegant and last night), so your chances are better that time. Also, might be worth your while to talk with maidre'D first day and find out what they have to say. Worst thing they can say is you are on your own, and that's where you are now.
  8. I got medical tags for the cpap and extension cord. I figure they are less likely to confiscate this way, and I really wany MY cord cuz it has 3 outlets. 2 PACK - Medical Equipment Inside Tag - for Luggage or Bags Containing Medical Devices - 5x4 Inches Big and Bright Size - Easy to Spot https://a.co/d/hq9k389
  9. Another alternative is those drink drops. Less bulky. Question, how many drinks per day (soda) to make up for the cost of package, keeping in mind that you have to pay for package for every day, even if you don't use it.
  10. Thx. That was such a big thing on my previous cruises, but my last cruise was right b4 covid.
  11. Looked at picture of Paraise, if water had come to 8th deck, it would be on it's side. Still an alarming thing to happen out of the blue, even if to deck 3.
  12. Hello, I've never used PVP before, but you folks convinced me to do this on my next cruise. Question is that on my upcoming cruise, was planning on putting down a deposit on my next cruise while on board because the discount is so significant, but I don't think I can use a PVP then. Anyone have ideas/info about this idea?
  13. I like that idea. Wouldn't be interested in a b2b with same itinerary, but different ones would be great.
  14. Yes, and you can ask steward for more hangers if needed.
  15. Submit a complaint to the health department in the county of their home-port. Might not do anything, but they might have ideas of where to go with it.
  16. My only real concern is what I've read about the smoke. I really hate that on most ships, the best route across ship leads thru the smoke-filled casino. Based on reviews, this seems worse on Venizia with smoke invading large portions of ship. Last time I selected a deck up high that went straight thru and used that for all travelling on ship. You would think with technology today they would be able to better address the smoke.
  17. With the benefit of not having to travel over an hour to get to theme parks on bus.
  18. I was a little concerned about the small pool size, then realized 2 things. I rarely use the pool because they tend to be very small, it might also cut down on the number of kids.
  19. Question, is it better to do a 10 day cruise or 2 B2B cruises? What are the tradeoffs?
  20. The site says it should be done a couple weeks in advance. Please keep us updated on whether you get it given the time crunch. Good Luck
  21. I like it when they send to everyone. More likely to get average traveller than only those who are upset
  22. I've done Royal out of NJ, will do Venezia out of Manhatten in Oct. Should be an interesting contrast.
  23. It's never occurred to me to put under bed, I usually put it either in closet or on balcony. After this thread, Wil continue this.
  24. If a port is strict enough to require a license, they are unlikely to accept an expired one.
