  1. You might not Jeremiah, but that is well after our final payment. So, in my opinion, we don't have 6 months, but about 3. It does sound, in just talking to NCL, that we can do a virtual proctored test on board Celebrity, so we will look into that.
  2. We are sailing on celebrity in January, and the same day we arrive back in Fort Lauderdale, we are boarding a Norwegian cruise in Miami. NCL still requires a negative test before sailing, but we will only have a few hours between cruises and about 30 miles! Has anyone heard of Celebrity offering on board proctoring of COVID test or have any suggestions beyond cancelling our Norwegian cruise through the Panama Canal?
  3. I beg to disagree. I was following a Panama Canal fare for over a week, and pulled the trigger on the last day of the 70$ sale. During that time I was watching the price, it never changed by $0.01. The next day after the 70% off ended and the 40% per cruiser started, I checked and my fare was less by a small (less than $200) amount. I emailed my TA that day, and they are telling me...the next day when they replied...that my fare was lower? I think I have a customer service person who isn't checking very closely.
  4. As most probably know, the 70% off, was off of the second guests "base fare", the 40% off, is 40% off of each guests base fare. So, without jacking up the base fare, the day the 40% off sale goes into effect, the 40% of both guests HAS to come up to a savings. If you hypothetically use $1000 dollars as the cruise cost, at 70% off the second guest, the total for 2 is $1300. At 40% off both guests, the total for 2 is $1200. This isn't rocket science, but it is kind of sneaky....
  5. We booked a 2023 Panama Canal full transit on the Joy for next January under the just expired 70% off promo. When the 40% "new sale" came out, I did some checking and it looked like our new fare would be a small savings to us. I contacted my TA, and was told our price was the same. Doesn't 40+40= more than 70?
  6. As this is our first NCL cruise in about 10 years, I'm totally unfamiliar with the PrivaSea meaning. Time to do a little research I guess.
  7. I was told by my TA that cabin MA 13800 on the Joy, the first one on the long bump out on the starboard side, is obstructed, but I can't find any info anywhere confirming this? Does anyone else have any info one way or the other on this specific cabin or cabins in similar locations, i.e the first bump out cabin on other decks, and whether there is any obstruction looking forward?
  8. Does anyone have any advice on if they would use Norwegian Air? Is the second guest free offer legitimate? We have occasionally used Celebrity's Choice Air for International travel, but not domestic, and it worked very favorable for us on International? This would be domestic travel, flying to Fort Lauderdale and back to MSP from Los Angeles.
  9. So, we booked under the 4 free at sea offer today. Are you saying we can decline 1 of the offers if we prefer? And that would remove the drinks gratuities?
  10. Sorry if I took up anyone's time. Have you tried to use the CC search feature lately?
  11. Booking our first NCL cruise in a long time and after about 10 Celebrity cruises, and curious about NCL's Premium Beverage package. If I'm reading the exclusions correctly, NCL's regular "Premium" package DOES NOT include bottled water or specialty coffee's, which we came to greatly enjoy on even Celebrity's Classic drink package. Am I reading this correctly, and interpreting that the only way I get these is to either purchase them individually or upgrade to the "Premium Plus" for another $30 per person a day? Am I wrong in describing this as one of the worst of the beverage packages available in the industry, and then to add on the "Tip charge" on my bill seems kind of insult to injury? But, I guess you don't have a choice....
  12. I am looking at a cruise on the Joy in a Club Balcony Suite (MA). Are there any cabins in this category that are larger than the other MA's?
  13. We are looking at a NCL cruise on the Joy for 15 days where the price for a CBS (MA) is about $280 more than a FCBS (M4). can anyone help me with the differences between the 2 other than 1 is closer to kids activities? We are a couple, so the room in either is going to be more than we usually sail in. Any info on differences that either make the extra $560 for 15 days worth it or not would be appreciated.
  14. We actually have 4 scheduled between January of 2023 and March of 2024. What I would prefer to do is apply the FCC we would receive for cancelling our first January 2023 cruise to our second January 2023 cruise, which is already booked. I guess that is my question...can we apply FCC to our final payment of an already boked future cruise as long as it falls within the 1 year rule?
  15. And what I would prefer to do is apply it to an existing cruise. But short of reading through my contract, which is the next step, I can't find any info on whether I can do that.
  16. Unfortunately, that still doesn’t apply to us as our cruise is scheduled to be in January of 2023…
  17. We booked a cruise in March of 2022 for this coming January that we are considering cancelling. From my understanding, the Cruise with Confidence terms applied to bookings made through July 31, 2021, so we have booked after the CWC rules. I just found out from our TA, that our NR deposit comes back to us in the form of a FCC that needs to be used within 1 year. I believe the CWC FCC's received for cancelling had no expiration? I can find pretty clear info on applying a CWC FCC to an existing booking. Does anyone had experience applying a cancelled deposit FCC to an existing booking? I can find rules and procedures for applying a deposit or FCC from a cancelled cruise that was booked during the Cruise with Confidence program, but can't find anything specifically dealing with post CWC cancellations.
  18. ...and I suggested this.... If I can make a recommendation Michelle...I would suggest keeping your chat box open, with a "Maintenance" or "Hours available" type message. Not having anything visible, makes it appear like your chat has been removed as an option.
  19. Just got this reply from chat.... Our chat window pops up in certain areas on the webpage, sometimes we do close down chat (which we did earlier this morning) which is why we do not always appear on our webpage
  20. Not a first world problem, but it seems like the inconsistency could be better managed, but, again, it is Celebrity, and it is an IT issue....
  21. My point is, there doesn't seem to be any uniformity to whether a chat window shows up as an option or not. Sometimes 1 open, sometimes they don't....
  22. Yes...I have that on one window that opened on a fresh link, but on another window that has been open, I NEVER even got an option in the bottom right to chat.
  23. And...I just opened a Captains Club link from an email I received 2 minutes ago and the chat box popped up on that window and put me 8 in queue. But the original window I still have open shows nothing. What a dumb system....
  24. To add to my previous post, I have had a Celebrity window open all morning, and have not seen the little blue chat box once. So, to use your reasoning, shouldn't I have seen it when the chat agent disconnected with someone?
