  1. One picture I forgot to post. I took a picture of the carving in progress, carousel horse. I never noticed before, but if you zoom in to the back of the horse, is that a carving of a lighthouse? It resembles some of those infamous cookies Thought I would ask the resident lighthouse expert. 😁
  2. You must have just missed Daryl. We were walking down the ramp at 7:20. Safe travels home to you. We will be on the beach till our Allure cruise in January. Don’t know if Daryl will go on that one, or not. Twelve days till that one.
  3. Daryl was checking out the lights as we docked. when we told him it was time to go, he jumped on the suitcase Several waves goodby as we disembarked He is anxious to see his other inflatable floatie friends that we had to leave behind. In the car and headed to do laundry now.
  4. Now time for a little rant. What the **** is wrong with people. Are they such pigs, that they live like this at home? Followed a trail up the stairs, on the way to the Solarium. That wasn’t all, but you get the idea.
  5. We actually missed two. #’s4 and 15. Now I don’t remember what those two were.
  6. We found umbrella street, which is similar to what they do in San Juan. No visit is complete without visiting a rum distillery rum casks and more Sampling some is always a good idea. This was a Hemingway special
  7. We did our own walking tour around Nassau. First stop was the British Colonial, where Bond scenes in Never Say Never Again were filmed. We stopped by Margaritaville Resort to check it out as a possibility for August when we are here. Then checked out the beach and Tiki bar
  8. We haven’t been to Nassau since the port was rebuilt. It is so much nicer than the old one. Of course, I had to do a mooring line shot for @Sea Dog Go ahead, make a Wish
  9. That nice, 74m superyacht tied up next to us is owned by Mark Scheinberg. It is supposedly worth $100 million.
  10. On our sailing, formal night was night 2, and dress your best was night 6. They did have white night and red night also. There were quite a lot of people dressed nicely on those nights. I think it was because of the number of families onboard, wanting nice Christmas photos. We did get our two free photos. And I was remarking about always getting digital prints for our free ones. Not so this time, just prints.
  11. If it is advertised as a taste of the UK, just look at the composition of the meal you get in the UK vs. this. This stuff made long John silvers look like a high end meal.
  12. It was reported on another thread that Royal spends about $17 per person, per day on food. Not just the evening meal, that is all meals. Much cheaper cuts and tougher meats.
  13. Went to “Flight -Dare to Dream” show last night. It was one of the better shows we have seen this cruise. I especially liked the ending with the plane. IMG_0072.mp4
  14. Tonight was a Taste of the UK menu, and it was another disappointing night, food wise. I ordered the fish and chips, and these things they served were nothing like I expected. Susan, and one of our table mates had roast beef with Yorkshire pudding. They both said the meat was tough and chewy, and the pudding was bad. So Royal must figure people will be far enough into their drink package by this point in the week, to not notice how the food has gotten progressively worse.
  15. Those were pretty tasty. We got them at Bolero’s. Went there for a Latin dance class.
