  1. Anyone onboard able to report if MSC handled your Visas or if you did it before? We will likely do it before just to be safe...but I'm curious.

So, I have the Dubai to Genoa cruise booked leaving the end of March and the pricing showing up for me for Dining is as follows (this is USD pricing on the US website): Trilogy (Chef's Garden, Kaito Sushi and Butcher's Cut) for USD 138 per person Finest Four (Chef's Garden, Teppanyaki, Hola Tacos and Butcher's Cut) for USD 149 per person Dinner and Bubbles (Butcher's Cut or Chef's Garden Kitchen or La Pescaderia Fish Market plus a bottle of Champagne) for USD 135 per person Butcher's Cut Chef's Table (shard dining experience with wine and sommelier) for USD 99 per person I should have a Diamond discount on these, but it's not showing anywhere (even when I add to my cart). No idea what value these offer over regular pricing, nor if these can equally be purchased once onboard (would particularly like to know the latter as we will wait if so).
  3. Do you happen to have the current on-board pricing for the World Europa restaurants (either individually or the dining packages)?
  4. Are there coffee machines in the YC cabins? Are they nespresso? Separately, have you visited the Thermal Spa area? Is access free for YC members? Would love any other thoughts you have on your cruise!
  5. So, here's a random (but somewhat related question). We have a very good friend who would like to be the third wheel on our upcoming cruise. YC is booked in full....was wondering if we could add her as a third person to our cabin AND she could book her own room for actual sleeping (interior rooms seem to be quite available and cheap). We'd basically be booking her as our "third" so she could join us in the Yacht Club and associated benefits, but not sure if 1 person can be booked into TWO cabins.... Anyone encountered or asked about this?
  6. We are booked on this in YC and will report back here (although as you point out, there will have been several local cruises in the Middle East before then). Very excited for a transit through the Suez and use the many sea days to explore the ship. Haven't seen this posted yet, but MSC put up a "virtual tour" of the ship on YouTube.
  7. Starbucks has expanded and now offers multiple "levels" of serving starbucks coffee. What is being offered on the Wonder (and apparently now/soon on other ships) is a limited offering of "signature starbucks drinks" meaning it includes certain espresso based drinks, teavana products and the basic frappucinos. This goes way beyond the generic starbucks drip coffee offered in most "proudly servings starbucks coffee" locations. This is a picture from the Wonder's the Cafe Promenade location.
  8. One of the main monikers of this "new design" was that it permitted extensive outdoor open air deck space compared to the most common cruise ship designs at the time. You'll notice that all the ships based on this design have the large promenades on deck 7 or 8. So yes, the different lines can tinker with what's above the waterline, but the structural design has to support some of these "innovations".
  9. This is the answer; almost all modern cruise ship design is done this way currently. The shipyards create a "platform" design that then the cruise lines can tinker with to make their own. The Project Mille design you reference is not only used for MSC Seaside class ships (the first to be built on this platform) but also the Virgin Voyages ships and the Project Leonardo class (as you mention, now Prima) ships on NCL. There are clearly similarities between the RCCL Oasis Class and MSC World Class ships due to some of the core architectural designs. I don't think we've seen enough of the World Europe to really understand how much they "borrow" from RCCL - bottom line, just because their are structural similarities, doesn't mean the actual product will be that similar.
  10. Can anyone confirm if it REALLY only covers lunch on sea days? If we stayed on board and Izumi were open, or we popped over to Johnny Rockets/Playmakers, would we not be covered with the UDP? I'm almost sure I remember doing this once on a Caribbean cruise, but can't quite remember. I know when we've had the UDP we've always just assumed we're covered at any of those restaurants, any time they are open (but we do almost always get off when in port).
