  1. We are on a March 18th cruise to Catalina and Baja and expect the cruise to Catalina and down to Baja will be windy.
  2. We like to sit in the lounge chairs on the lido deck even when it's windy. Does the ship provide blankets to use while lounging?
  3. WOW! Thanks, that's a real vote of confidence.
  4. Thanks for the pointers. I'll look for the review.
  5. Thanks! We have been to Tahiti 9 times with the Paul Gauguin so I don't think I could get my husband back. We will look for a sail cruise in the Caribbean; the longer the better. Any suggestions?
  6. We have never been on a Celebrity ship so I'm asking this type of question in order to prepare myself. I know wine taste is subjective but with the classic package which wine do you deem the better tasting one?
  7. We have never been on one of these ships. Should we be concerned about lots of motion due to the sails? Are they really used or do the ships basically use engines? Thanks!
  8. I love a Bloody Mary in the morning.Do any of the bars have Mister T's mix or something equal or better? Does Celebrity now offer an open bar instead of a Captain's reception at a certain time and day? Thanks!
  9. We will be first timers on this ship and cruise line and wondered what time the big shows start. We have a 6 pm dining hour and hope to be out in oder to attend the evening show. Thanks for your input.
  10. Does Celebrity offer Indian Fever Tonic water in their bars? If not, what brands are offered?
  11. Thanks! It seems the sbc is based on the category you book.
  12. Does Celebrity offer future cruise credit sales while on board? I tried on their website but has no luck. Thanks.
  13. WHATEVER YOU DECIDE TO BRING, IT NEEDS TO BE IN YOUR CARRY ON LUGGAGE
  14. We embark on March 18th so we will find out what is currently included in our packages!
  15. Well, now the classic beverage package does not include premium coffees or teas!!!! Now I'm miffed!!! Please let me know if I'm miss reading the above.
  16. Bless you all! It now appears I can go to the gym at 6 am and then shower in the spa area to avoid disturbing y sleeping husband.
  17. Is there a difference in premium coffee(drip) and specialty coffee (lattes, cappuccinos, etc)?
  18. Thank you! I guess where I was looking did not mention specialty coffee.
  19. The basic drink package does not cover specialty coffees.
  20. are you able to ask for more wine if you find one you like?
  21. I have some questions about our upcoming Solstice Mexican cruise. What time does the gym open in the morning? Are the shower rooms accesible from the gym in the early morning (I like to exercise and shower there as to not disturb my husband)? How many laps does it take to make a mile on the jogging path? I like to bring my toothpicks for counting the laps. How much does a latte or cappuccino cost? Where is the coffee bar on the ship? We have the basic the drink package for wine and wine. Can we order these in any bar or restaurant? How much does the wine tasting class cost? We have cruised on the major mass market lines and Oceania, Regent and Paul Gauguin so we are curious to see how our Celebrity experience compares.
  22. Only he was truly injured! The crew saw his injury! Please don't be snarky.
  23. My husband wears Rockport shoes in the dining areas. However, he injured his big toe on one of the cabin doors and bled out like nothing. He could not wear shoes due to his bandage injured toe and he was allowed in Toscana with sandals.
  24. We had the beer and wine package on our last cruise( Regatta:9/9) and found the wine to be very drinkable on the wine by the glass. We didn't expect top drawer wine but didn't have BAD wine. The steward always gives you a sample prior to pouring a full drink. The Malbec and the French Burgundy and Pinot Blanc were great. We went to both the Italian and French wine tastings and found the the wines to good ones (some on their list listing for over $200). Gabriel the wine steward was great and allowed for very generous pours. Well worth the cost. I upgraded to the prestige package and my husband did not have to do so. 2 spirit drinks a day covered the cost of the upgrade. I had a bloody mary in the am and a gin & tonic in the early evening with some other drinks as I felt I could handle it. The Regatta Waves bar makes a spicy Bloody Mary(which I loved) but the other venues are more mellow. I did find that you have to ask for a brand name with your drink or it will not be as tasty.
