Awesome, and if you have crowd pics, you might see me out there dancing!
I want to be there right now! :(
-
I was on this sailing! If you have pics of the sail away party, my mom was the one with the funnel hat on that Matt made do the dance on "stage" for the beginning of the Harlem Shake dance.

Aw poo. Well, I guess that means no cheers package for us. for us, it isn't feasible.
Ready2cruzagain, I'm with you, it's way too much money. It really would be nice to pay as you go.
-
Can the Cheers package be purchased for just part of the cruise? Can you pay for drinking for just 3 or 4 days out of 7? Can you pay day by day? Or do you have to purchase it for the whole cruise if you choose to get it? I do know that all adults in the room need to purchase it. Thanks in advance! :)

I have done a few Spring Break cruises and 2 years ago was the only time I experienced the "Spring Break Madness". It was a group of high school students that all came together. Maybe a little over 100 with only about 10 chaperons. They were everywhere! At the ports, most of them were drinking and were pretty crazy when they got back on board. Probably even snuck some back on because by dinner time (late seating), they were still rowdy.
Maybe I'm just jealous that my high school never had senior class trips like that lol.
But after 22 cruises and only about 8 of them being spring break cruises, it's not so bad. Just be prepared. If you do get that one cruise, they are taking over. lol

I don't know if this was said already, buuut, I'm just going to go ahead and say what I was thinking anyway.
So you come on the Carnival board and ask if Carnival "is really that bad?"
Try doing the same thing on the NCL board ,"Is NCL really that bad?", and see if you don't get the same answers.
I personally think Carnival is awesome, that's why I frequent it. I'm sure that's the reason most people cruise Carnival or any other line.
Anyway, good luck to you. I hope you will be able to form your own opinions based on your Glory cruise rather than from what you read on a Carnival fb page that has a lot of negative reviews.
I'm curious as to what fb page it is because all the ones I have joined have a majority of happy cruisers on it.
Stay Positive

If not from the U.S., bring an adapter. I think there might be one you can use in the bathroom that doesn't need an adapter.
-
Since you will be one of the 1st ones on her, be sure to come back and tell us how it worked out.
-
I'm curious to see how this is going to work out this. It doesn't sound pleasant.
Like when small schools use the gym as an auditorium and cafeteria space as well. I've also heard that this wasn't so great on the Sunshine from multiple cruisers.

Am I missing something? I looked over the deck plans and didn't happen to see a disco on any of the decks. I assumed it would be on Promenade. Did I overlook it?

That seafood place looks pretty cool. I've been wishing and hoping for crab legs on a cruise.
Love then idea of more outdoor seating. And the variety of restaurants.
And OMG the rooms! loooooove. I can't wait to hear more. I wanna book already!

As a usual Disney cruiser then trying Carnival for the 1st time, the Paradise will be a huge change for you. You will still have an amazing time, but ship wise, it is a big difference. I went on the Paradise a couple of years ago to get my bf into cruising. He kept insisting on a short cruise. So that means the pickings are slim (ships wise) and we ended up on the Paradise.
He hasn't gone on a cruise with me since. We have done other vacations but cruising isn't his thing yet. The ship just didn't wow him. Everything was outdated. Not dirty or unclean in anyway, just not up to par with Carnival's newer ships.
Still trying to get him on a 99' and newer ship (Conquest class and newer)
So I'm just saying, I've never done Disney (only CCL and RCCL), but based on what I've seen and read about them, just be prepared for a good time on the Paradise and not the condition of the ship.
I still had a great time because I was with him and I knew what to expect.
On the extremely plus side, the ship was never crowded when we sailed. Always had a chair in Serenity and at a performance or comedy show.
Bon Voyage!

Yup that's Brian! I'm friends with him on FB and also met him while on the Liberty. Considering the Glory again for April 4th and excited for the possibility to have some more vodka soaked strawberries or pineapple with him lol. Those things are disgusting and toxic. Definitely get the job done. And Brian makes awesome drinks

@BeyondKen Love your Bazinga shirt. Another BBT fan I assume?

I love those. I live in Chicago and every bar that I have asked for one in, the bartender looks at me like I have 5 heads lol

Long Islands and Tokyo Teas. A Tokyo Tea is something I've only ever gotten on Carnival. They introduced me to it and everyone else everywhere I go seems confused be it.
It has a lot of alcohols like the Long Island The big difference is I think Midori. Turns the whole drink green. Anytime I get it on the ship, people are always asking what it is. Pretty tasty and very strong. Slightly stronger than a Long Island.

We are Platinum/VIFPs and I have looked in the Special Offers tab today and saw a couple. One from the Player's Club and one for VIFPs.
But yesterday, our PVP called. Said there was an 8 day offer for the Breeze in an inside room for $311 for 2 people total! We booked it asap. He told us it was one of those special offers for certain people. We ask if another friend who usually cruises with us can get the deal too (She's VIFP/Platinum too) and he said no the offer doesn't apply to her.

you missed the obvious.
The OP posted on May 17, a Saturday, saying that they were leaving on Sunday [May 18].
Since there DMV office was not open on the weekend, she could not "Just go to the DMV and get a state ID." That is what precipitated her panicky situation.
My personal guess? Since it is now May 20 and the OP has not posted anything else, I am guessing everyone got on board.
Yeah this is what i get for skimming. i thought i was missing something because it just wasn't making sense. Didn't see what she was getting so worked up about.
-
Exaclty but in the case of the OP, she was freaking out because the daughter wouldn't be able to use her licence. To me it sounds weird. Like there is a bunch of fuss over nothing (besides the fact that the daughter should get this done). Just go to the DMV and get a state ID. Does exactly the same thing as the DL does when needed for traveling. Even can be scanned.
-
Can't you just get a state ID? You know, it's looks just like a driver's license (picture, dob and organ donor info), but it doesn't allow you to drive. Not a big deal.
I don't drive, (for personal reasons) and a state ID works just fine. Not everybody drives.

On our April 12th-19th cruise on her, the we're a few alarming announcements and they cleared people out of a few floors on the aft part of the ship. They later announced that some generator below deck was smoking. And it smelled for a little on decks. Captain was on the pa about 4 times. Heard alarms in the background. Then within 30 mins, all was clear

Well when you put it that way. I guess it is kind of cute to see adults argue and try to one up each other like children.
"Nuh uh! I'm right! "
"Nuhhh uuuhhh! I'm right! Even Billy says so! :P *blows raspberry*"
Lol
