  1. Dumb question for all you who have already done it. I ASSUME one can download and partially complete ArriveCAN long before the 72 hour window (name, Vax dates, who knows what else) and that the 72 hour window is for a last check health assessment thus then obtaining a QR code for entry. Please confirm or straighten out any of my misunderstanding. TY.
  2. A real advantage when we're out in the Pacific timezone!
  3. Ferry, any news on the Amtrak Cascades? Also, I presume one shows their App at the border crossing (say on the bus or at the airport) if heading to Vancouver for a cruise.
  4. All good info here. And please people, this isn't a Carnival issue (or any individual cruise line for that matter). This is by order of the Canadian government. Also, recall that the exemption to the PVSA pushed through Congress last year (enabling cruise lines to bypass a foreign port) was a 'one season' thing. They're not going to renew that special legislation because someone doesn't want to comply with Canadian entrance requirements. As has been articulated in other threads, if its too burdensome, you know your options.
  5. The 'pay for' coffee bar is on Deck #2 forward.
  6. You're fine. I'd imagine it's a limitation with the software in your unique situation. You ARE fully vaxxed for a typical domestic cruise. You are NOT 'up to date' but that only affects the required timing of your Covid test. Simply take your CDC card and a printout of your negative test results to the port. We've cruised 6 times since the restart..... never used VeriFly once. Just make sure all your paperwork contains the required info.
  7. Yep, all at the discretion of Medical Services nowadays. As others have said, when we B2B2B back in February, they tested us for free the day before disembarkation of each leg. If your cabin phone didn't ring for 30 minutes, you were told to assume you were good.
  8. What I can tell you is that the first Princess cruises to Alaska rolled off at about 50%. There's a crap ton of ships in the market this year. But it's only May and those promos were outstanding.
  9. Of all the things mentioned, the Seaday filet is most disappointing to me. It was probably my #1 'go to'. I'd certainly get it at least once a cruise. What I may do is splurge for a $20 steak at dinner one night instead. Also, if your ship ever does a one time Seaday brunch up in the steakhouse for a fee...... DO IT. Absolutely outstanding at a very fair up-charge price.
