As for dealing with smokers on the balcony, photographic evidence (phone, DSLR camera, etc.) works best. It's much more effective to have a photo vs. just complaining.

Thanks for this! We have been in aft cabin and cig flicked into my hair from buffet above (not MSC). Fire is my biggest fear.:eek:

We have our first MSC cruise in 11 days and we are searching for our next one already, probably book on board. We are in YC and its very hard to find a suite open clear into 2020! Somebody loves it!

At most terminals there will be a sitting bench where she can sit while they fetch a w/c, I am in same situation and bringing only a walker, asked for w/c at terminal. We were unable to rent a w/c in Hamburg so my walker will have to do on board as MSC does not have w/c for use during cruise.

Our boarding time is 1pm, hotel checkout will be noon, we always go about 11am, this time in YC on Aug 9, Hamburg....see you at 11!

Our suite was booked last minute (6 weeks) and we had never heard of YC so we are thrilled at the price and Norway. I am having a hard time now booking it again.

Nearly all our cruises have been in Europe and we live/work here so we are well used to line jumping or you may be asking a question at a desk/counter and they will stick their head right in front of you to ask their query!!! Its maddening, 30 yrs and still shocks me. I am forced to speak up because DH hates a fuss.

How many Butlers in YC? TIA for answer.

We just now got our notice email, CCL Elite = BLACK MSC and we are thrilled!

Not sure where the breakout point is. I asked CCL to send me a confirmation letter of our status and then added that letter to Status Match form. Took 1 week.

I asked on another thread about status and found out we will be Black on MSC from Celebrity Elite! Now if we just get the ok in time...28 days to go!

Thanks Pete, that is fantastic for all to see. I am somewhat worried about 4500 people on the ship but thank God I can hide in my area with a Butler delivered ice cream. We are loners and were blessed that we found this cabin and price was half of other lines balcony cabins. I am disabled and look forward to watching all the others have fun on the water sports etc.

OHH the cheese plate! We always order a cheese plate at dinner, served with starters, can we do this on YC?

You don't pay for anything on the room service menu. You can also get pizza through the Concierge desk (they have a menu). Food is delivered by your butler or assistant butler, so you don't have to tip per se, especially if you are doing personal service tips at the end of the cruise.

Aha, good question....so we should continue the little envelope at cruise end? We have of course pre-paid tips. We were just discussing this because on website it stated individual tipping was frowned upon.

Any help on what we can expect with Elite on Celebrity?

What does this mean? Does MSC match your status from other lines, example, we are Elite on Celebrity going YC on MSC for first time. Help on this appreciated.

We are a little confused about what the perks are in YC Deluxe Suite. We are in 16014 and seems great area.

We only booked yesterday so I guess we will learn or be surprised on boarding.

2) No - you have to send your clothes out to be ironed for a charge. In YC, you can include this service in the laundry package offered onboard. Just ask your butler ... that's what we always do. It works out much cheaper than paying for individual items to be ironed.
