  1. We must have been lucky, the only ship that had paper walls was the Marco Polo, we kept waking up to the sound of a train and said wow we must be close to land. Next morn found out was my BIL watching Dr. Zhivago and turning it down quick when he heard us complain. Its a family joke now, hearing a train in the middle of Fjords.

You expect noise in daytime. Verhanda noise has been minimal. Always one big mouth who can spoil a nap.

  2. Not sure I understand your question. If you had 7 credits prior to 11/25, that would have converted to 210 points under the new program. (Each credit was multiplied by 30.) If you had 8 points, you may have been given a 25 point "bonus".

If you are in a Concierge cabin on your next cruise, and it is 14 nights, you would each receive 5 points per night, which would give you a total of 70 points each for that cruise. That would leave you 20 points shy of being elite, unless you received the bonus points as mentioned above.

Not knowing your current total points, it is hard to say, but the above is one scenario.

If you go to the Celebrity website and click on Captain's Club, there is a section there that will explain how points are earned and how many are required for each level. If you sign in, it will also show you your current total points as well as your current level. Hope this helps!

Hi Beth, sorry I stated it wrong, we have 180 points & 2 14 nt cruises coming up which should give me 140 at end of second cruise, total 320. What my question is, do you get points any other way except the 14 nt points?

    Thanks!

  3. We went several years ago on the Marco Polo. Look at Fjiords Norway cruises, we had the stop in St. Pburg and then flew to Moscow for the day, dinner at The Writers Club, a dream trip! The excursion to Moscow was a ship tour, very busy day, The Kremlin, Red Square, the gorgeous subway.

Do try to find an itinerary like this one, it was a trip of a lifetime! Oh yes, shopping at Gum in Moscow. 7 course dinner with so many drinks at the Writers, a string quartet.

Enjoy the planning...most of the Baltic cruises are late summer.

  4. Had Aqua on Equinox 12 nite Med in May 2013, lousy storage for 2 women/no drawers/big container over the beds/hard for short person to reach

or stuff would fall out when opened/ worse storage arrangement I have had ever in cabin; better in Bathroom. It works best if bed by balcony/ask for that.......Blue was nothing special; IMHO, more sugar, maybe less fat/you can buy Persian Gardens for $99 for entire cruise and less for 2.

Had C3 on Connie to Baltic/12 nite in May 2012/loved the storage and they always got us right into Anytime Dining or wherever at the head of the line!

I booked C2 on Century this April, 2013.....even if they had Aqua Class!

    Barb:o

Oh great to hear, Barb! We are C3 accessible on next cruise, 1022. We did have Concierge on Century and butler was in constant service, too much really, always walking in on us, serving this or that.

  5. Got the email today, Egypt is cancelled for our Oct 18, 2014 cruise. We will instead see Malta (yeah its lovely & strange) and Katacolon (where the Olympics started) this will be 3rd time there so not too thrilled.

How do you feel about it if you are booked of course? The letter was clear there would be no nice presents for the change.

We will not change any plans except to book t again for 2015.

  6. I was worried as well until I found this thread and its so true, if Egypt is shutout then more days in Israel will be wonderful! I would prefer it since we've been 2 times to Egypt and with the current concerns no doubt we would be in constant worry.

I can never have too many days in Istanbul (we are not scheduled there in 14) but any of the ports around there are going to be so interesting. I am going to recommend this thread to our roll call, thanks to all.

  7. These are typical balcony cabins, but they are in a great location. You are on the same deck as the pools, Trident Grill, the pizza and ice cream bar, and Horizon Court, but you are in the front of the ship so you do not have much traffic. The only traffic comes from people using the forward elevators from the pool; however, L 246 is in front of the elevators so this shouldn't be a concern.

We just got off of the Crown and it is a fabulous ship. While we had a mini suite on the Emerald Deck, I became familiar enough with the Lido Deck to think that this would be the place to have a balcony cabin.

Thanks for your kind reply, really looking forward to August!
