The best information I can find indicates there are currently 323 cruise ships sailing. That would be one heck of a spread sheet for the brave (?) person to track all the port changes so that we can have a factual basis to determine whether O is a more persistent offender. Anecdotally, of course, I do feel like I am seeing more reports of other cruise lines also making changes. And, not surprisingly from me, I’m still going to go with the changes, whatever they are, are not made lightly or with malice afore thought. Much better for my peace of mind and cruise enjoyment.

Had a similar conversation with a GM. He also indicated they all hate missed port stops and don’t save money by missing them. As my experience in captaining a “ship” is a 22’ runabout on an area lake, I’m not going to second guess the Cap. I have to agree with others that if you have this amount of distrust, it may be time to explore other cruise lines.

I’d still love to hear from anyone our ageish (a young 74 or 65+) who has had the vaccine after age 60-65.

A question for those of you who have sailed South America with stops in Brazil in the past year or two—if you are 70+, did you get the “recommended” yellow fever vaccine? If so, what side effects did you experience? We will, of course, also be speaking with our doctor. Thanks!

We just sailed on the Marina and found her to be in great shape, even though the refurb will be welcome—especially the redone bathrooms! We had NO major complaints, and even the minor ones were hardly an issue. We are sailing again on her in November and January. Please remember comments are very subjective, even mine. 😊 Go and have a good time. Happy Anniversary!

We certainly found that latitude issue to be the case on our recent Reykjavik to London cruise on the Marina.

We have only done Belfast on a land tour, but we really enjoyed a “black cab” tour. There is also a big Titanic museum.
