That is the type of baby that ends up being an only child.

You just described me, almost. I'm not an only child but my parents always said that's the reason I'm the youngest. I kept them awake all night as a baby and when I got older I would just wander around because I couldn't sleep. Still don't sleep well.

The food that was shown looked like it came from a specialty restaurant, very artfully displayed but it was included in the cruise fare.

Many moons ago I worked for an advertising company.  Presentation was everything.

All of their restaurants are included in the cruise fare and they taste as good as they look!

Just out of curiosity I opened up a review of Virgin's Scarlett Lady cruise ship.

They really took adults only to the max.  I was flummoxed at the amenities offered in passenger cabins.  I can't name specifics but there is a list offered for purchase of ummmm adult "toys"  for $30.  Neon sign in the ice cream parlor is...well you really should google it yourself.

Decor is very contemporary, not to my personal liking at all.

No drawers in the cabin that was reviewed.  Strange.

Even though I only travel with adults,  I think I'll stick to family cruise lines.

I was surprised to find out that the average age for passengers is 48. It's very different from any other cruise line but that's was Bransons goal. They have put an emphasis on the food making it a perfect cruise for foodies.

Our original cost for Hump balcony with the casino comp was $383.13. We bid $1310.00pp for first two, and got it. Total of $3003.13 or $143pp per day. I think it was a pretty good deal for a CLS. I don't expect it to happen when capacity goes back up.

Congratulations, you did get a good deal! I don't understand how they come up with the numbers to royal up. Our minimum bid was $1900 pp to go from one Star class suite to another Star class suite. We have already paid for all of the perks so the bid would just be for more space.  RC math doesn't make sense. I passed on bidding and booked another cruise.

What no spreadsheets?  My husband says thats what scares them off.  I actually did short videos on administering the correct drug dosage for his liquid meds.  Quite frankly I think it was the video on the Nespresso machine that sealed the deal.

I love the video idea but I'm sure we would never find a dog sitter again. Even our kids would abandon us!

Thanks.  I am going to try again.  My problem is that many of them have large dogs of their own and Jack is easily trampled.  Even our lab manages to bang into him.  Giving the meds 3 times a day can be problematic unless they only work part time.  I do have a niece that helped me out with a long weekend last month.  Only problem is that she a) now has a large dog herself and b) works about 50 hours a week.  Upside is that she has flexibility in her work schedule.  Some hours at home with outside meetings.  As much as I would like to travel this fall, I might save her services for one of the cruises.  That way at least one cruise would be covered.

My only other recommendation would be pet sitters international.  Its so hard to find a good pet sitter. My family makes fun of me because I tape notes all over the house before we leave, do a few test runs, check in every day that we are gone, check the cameras quite often and still worry and hate leaving them! Luckily our daughter will take PTO so we can go on our cruise this fall.

The flights for April, 2020 were just as bad schedule wise and the cost was just as much.  I took a hit of over $1400 for our two flights this morning, PVD-FLL for our Symphony cruise and realized I didn't purchase the EB. We have traveled with the same family for 12 years (different one than the BI family, LOL) who have a junior now in HS.  That kid has cost us thousands of extra dollars in airfare.  LOL.

Adding salt to the wound is the fact that I am currently sitting on $1600 of SW credit due to expire between 12/8 and 1/8/22. I tried to use the credit last December for a trip to Aruba in January.  That was doomed when they announced 10 days prior to departure that one needed a covid test before returning to the US.  Of course I could not leave the dog for potentially 3 weeks if both of us tested positive.

I am going to a) try to find a dog  sitter who knows the ins and outs of a dog with IVDD and is available to administer drugs 3 times a day.  B) is to call and beg that SW extends the travel date.  I also need to book airfare for our February cruise.  I didn't even bother looking for that this morning.  I was too busy trying to get the balance of my credit for the price drop that occurred Tuesday night.

    Wish me luck!

Check with your vet. Ours has techs that dog sit. Good luck!

I had fondue at a friend's house back in the 70's. I came home and told my mom about how wonderful it was. Since we already had a fondue pot and the cookbook...we have been enjoying it ever since. Mom is gone now. But Bill & I really like it, except for the calories.

I have that exact ceramic fondue pot! It was my moms. We have fondue every Christmas Eve and Raclette on New Years Eve.

Bucky and I have appointment coming up next week once we are home.  Cleaning...but I am still having issues with one of the crowns (IMHO should have had root canal in that one before she put the crown on...but was not offered that or suggested. 😞 ).

Sorry that you are having issues and hopefully it can be easily taken care of. My kids tell me that I over react to a lot of things and I love my dentist and doctor but if I need something and there is a specialist in that field that's where I go. Maybe a second opinion at an endodontist?
