  1. Any idea how many they require to make it go? Were you able to reschedule for a different night?

We did reschedule for another night and there were 4 of us. It was great! A lot of individual attention and a lot of wine since we didn't have to share. We were given the extra wine to take back to our cabins. Plus we got a great price for the inconvenience ... $49 for both of us.

  2. I bring two fans. I have a plug in one and a battery operated one that also has a removable electrical cord. I have never had one confiscated but at least I have a back up in case they do take it away.

  3. My son still says that the cruise we took when he was 18 was his least favorite. On every cruise before he was able to go to the teens club and make friends to hang out with. He still made a few friends but it was harder because there were no organized activities for that age group to meet people, you have to do it on your own. He enjoyed himself but it wasn't the same. It was 10 years ago and maybe things have changed, but in my opinion this was one age group that RC was overlooking.

  4. My dogs have vests and ID cards. Does that mean I can take them on a cruise? No, mine are therapy dogs that have been trained and certified so I take them to hospitals, schools and nursing homes. They don't do a job for me so I am not entitled to take them wherever I want. I have nothing to lose by asking people what "service" their animal performs. It usually makes them uncomfortable if it's not a true service animal.

  5. Pointed that out to OP already! She didn't like that response! That's the problem when you try to define cheating - how big are the sips!

It's not that I didn't like your response. I don't feel like I need to be treated like a child for a simple question. I wanted to try new drinks knowing that I can't drink more than a few sips and I don't like to waste things, so my husband would have been my only option. But like I said I'm not going to buy a package if it's cheating.

  6. If you mean buying a drink package, getting a drink and taking a few sips and giving the rest to your husband who doesn't have a drink package, yes you'd be cheating.

Absolutely you would be cheating! Many people did that and a few sips easily leads to half a drink! You could have bought a package that included virgin cocktails and smoothies for yourself.

Many people believe that's why you both now have to buy a package, so you can no longer purchase one package any way.

I won't buy a drink package if it's considered sharing only to take a few sips and either throw it away or give it to my husband. I just wanted to be able to try new drinks and not have to be wasteful. Obviously he would be buying the refreshment package because he likes coffee, soda and juice.

I just can't drink an entire drink because of health reasons. I wish they could offer small samples, but I know there are reasons why they don't.

  7. We have never bought a drink package because we don't drink enough but I do love my Lava Flows. I would like to buy it just once so I could try all of the delicious sounding drinks that everyone talks about but for health reasons I can only drink about 2-3 sips. My choice then is to either throw the rest away, which is wasteful, or give it to my husband, and he really doesn't want it. Nothing else included in the package would be of use because I only drink water. Would we be cheating if I bought drinks knowing that most of them are going to my husband?

  8. We always give cash but since we are having the same stateroom attendant again this year I am going to take her a box of chocolate. I know it is her birthday when we cruise. Last year when we got off in a port where she couldn't get off we asked her what she would like us to bring her from port. The day she was getting off in port we put our our "do not disturb " sign so she wouldn't have to spend time in our room and she could get off of the ship quicker. We told her ahead of time so she wouldn't wait. She argued but we insisted.
