You could feel the motion a little more and there was some vibration when the ship was cruising slowly. To be honest I know the balconies are somewhat smaller but it wasn't hugely different from other ones I've had. I know some posters do know the exact side of balconies but I'm not one of them. I'd be pretty ok with one of these cabins again. I've been ok with any cabin I've gotten on Hal. When I'm on Princess I know book a specific cabin because I've gotten sucky assignments. Have a great cruise!

Thanks for the info on the balcony...as long as there is room to have a beverage and chat with my daughter I am fine. We both love the sea, so a little motion will be welcomed. Can't wait to escape this yucky winter. I too, have never had a bad room on HAL.

I've had a spa cabin and it was fine. There is no telling what you'll get ahead of time. Since you are so against these cabins I would strongly encourage you to pick your cabin.

I just got assigned a VQ cabin for our upcoming cruise. Can you tell me how much smaller the balcony is, and if you felt a lot of motion . We are easy to please I think this room should be fine, we got cabin 10015

I thought so too, but only a family member needs to be "supervising" so that would work only if someone under 16 is swimming with no adult "supervising".

It has been my experience on the NA and the Maasdam that the aft pools were considered "adults only" for some time. (I have been using the aft pool since 2007) Whenever I have asked about this, even with this sign, the family has been asked to use the Lido pool. We shall see what happens in March on my next cruise.

Just ask the staff in a polite way to speak to the family.mention you enjoy that the aft pool is for adults only. It worked for me last cruise.

This is definitely sounding like something we are going to love!

Will try to stay in the front to avoid "floaters" 🐎

Can you tell me if you have done this and what did you think of this activity. I will be going with my adult daughter. I haven't ridden a horse in many years.

Cruise to Bermuda out of Boston on the SS Galileo in September 1986. Didn't cruise again until 2006, but was "hooked" from the first experience. Now it's Holland America for me. Never had a bad moment on any of my trips.:D
