Call 9-1-1... that will ring in the Bridge and report it to the Captain or officer that answers the phone
Great idea. It is hazardous materials entering my lungs.

But what I can't believe is the butthurt flowing over some cigarettes.
Some of us care about breathing other people's smoke.
It is not "butthurt", it is health and your comment is very insulting.:mad:

What if this was OP's VERY first cruise ever and there was a $25 billing error?
Or what if you had not received $10K of perks from RCI and there was a $25 billing error?
That's a ridiculous comparison. The OP said they were D+. It could be up-settable....but to come to a conclusion not to sail Royal over $25 is just odd.
-
Seems very trivial.
If you are/were such a RCI fan, how can a $25.00 mistake keep you from cruising with them again?
I've had worse than that and I survived.
This just doesn't seem enough to get that irate over.
Move on and enjoy Carnival or Norwegian.......You won't be missed if you get upset that easily......

Very good, huge portions, great entertainment!!:D

Let me tell you briefly about my dive certification in St. Maarten.
In 1989, I went for my deep water certification.
We departed for Man-o-war reef at 10:30 AM.
We were to be back to the marina by noon, or, there about.
The first dive to 60 feet went well.
The second dive to 120 feet went well also,
until we did our "safety stops" ascending.
When we surfaced our boat was GONE!
Just like the movie "OPEN WATER".
The Boston Whaler broke anchor line and, floated away.
Lucky for us, we were within
sight of St. Maarten. Also, there were no sharks around.
They found the boat within an hour..
It took them until after 6 PM to find us.
There were 6 of us...clinging together until we could be found.
That was a LONG time to float around with only head above water.
The good news is, I got my certification as a P.A.D.I. certified diver.
The bad news is, I have had ZERO desire to ever go again. :(
But, it is wonderful, if one enjoys scuba diving.... ;)
Wword to the wise person here.
NEVER go diving unless someone stays aboard the boat.
I know the US Coast Guard has that rule, but,
St. Maarten back then, did not...
I'm a bit confused by your timeline of events.
I am an experienced certified diver, also certified in 1989, and as far as I know they NEVER take a class of inexperienced on divers to that depth, ever. Our deepest dive was 40-50 feet until after we were completely certified.
Also, all dive companies do the deeper dives first, then a shallow one after.
They also use the anchor line for the inexperienced divers to hold on to while doing their "safety stops". So one would think they would have known the boat was gone before re-surfacing.
I'm not questioning the actuality of your experience, just the details and the order of which it happened.
And if you enjoyed the actual dives, why wouldn't you want to do it again under better or safer circumstances such as shallower water?
It just sounds odd to me.

International Pier
Thank you for such a quick reply!!:D

Can someone tell me which pier Freedom docks at on Cozumel? We want to reserve a rental car and we're not sure which choice to make.
Thanks!

I guess it could be any line, because the process is universally bad. But I suspect as Virgin becomes a reality, it's going to force the other lines to get their act together.
Article on Fox News interviewing Virgin Cruise CEO Tom McAlpin, and he mentioned this: "here is a funny story; I just took a cruise I won't mention (which one), but the online booking process got so complicated, even for me, that I just gave up and called a travel agent. We want to simplify everything - booking, inclusiveness, the experience, everything."
Sorry....but if you are looking for facts, mentioning Fox News pretty much disqualifies it.
As far as booking, I've never had a problem booking online with RCI.

We were booked in a different cabin but we were moved from it (all part of the before traveling issues we had) We then got a cabin I didn't want so up graded to 2 different cabins this last move was done in on the 6 April.
Summary of before cruise issues
1.bumped from cabin- no reason ever given
2. bad new cabin so we upgraded and split into 2 cabins got - new invoice - went to pay balance 1month later and they wanted a £200 more per cabin than on invoice - 2 hrs of call to sort- had to email someone high up (thanks for the email address I found on here who sorted it.
3. then they lost my OBC $900 that I had bought while booked in the 1st cabin and tried to say I hadn't any!! I had to get bank statements and email copies to get my OBC back
All this took hrs of calls to the UK Guatemala call center at great expense to sort out this was to be covered by the OBC compensation of $150 of which I only got $50 (that doesn't even cover the call costs)
You poor thing....

I am confused. To reserve any dining or spa, RCI charges ahead of time online. Is there a way to reserve without prior payment?
And if pmt was already received, then how can they invoice for it?
-
Except for the money we spend on kids for excursions, ice cream, gift store junk, arcade and specialty dining that we wouldn't be spending without them. You have a very narrow viewpoint
But this thread had to do with a 20 month old. What excursions, what arcade, I thought ice cream was free? Just asking.....

I took my then 9 month old grandson on a cruise a few years ago. He ate no food or had no drinks. He couldn't play in pool or use the childcare facilities. Yet, he cost the same thing as my daughter and her husband. They even brought their own port-a-crib.
That's quite a feat.
He didn't eat ANYTHING during the trip? No food? No water? What about diaper garbage, clean up after the child, linens, etc? Was the child bathed? What about the towels used? I'll bet the child spit up on things that needed to be cleaned.
I'm not trying to be offensive, just trying to understand how the child did not eat or drink anything for a whole week.
It just ceases to amaze me how often people think they should get a free pass just because it is a little person. They still use things. Plus, isn't a "third person" discounted already?

I'm sorry. Is this a joke?
DW and "her" cigars with him doing needlepoint?
Is this a post comparing cigar smoke to needlepoint?
Seems strange.....

I always bring a length of rope. I tie one end to the suitcase handle, and the other end to the balcony railing. Then, I just hang it over the edge, about six feet down. That way, it doesn't block my view. Then, when it's time to pack up, I just reel in the rope, and there's my suitcase!
OMG...I was thinking the exact same thing....except for adding the "flopping" in the breeze....LOL:D:D

No you are NOT nuts. Either that or we are totally crazy....lol.
Our countdown started at 726 LONG days. Now we are at 194 days! (still way too far off, but tolerable).
Needless to say....it will be almost 3 years since our last vacation and we are getting pretty cranky.
We always have countdowns, and ALWAYS have fun anticipating the whole waiting period. We did it with the kids when they were little. We would have a drum roll every night, taking turns crossing the days off the calendar until our much anticipated trips. The kids just loved it. :)

What a wonderful thread! Keep the stories coming!! PLEASE! :D

I do not see the "staterooms" option under "plan a cruise". Can you post a link?
Or are you saying that it actually shows two red question marks? And is it for a specific ship?
I'm sorry. Now when I go there, it isn't there.
It wasn't little question marks.....but it wouldn't let me copy the icon.
I guess I'll never know.......

What ship and sailing date?
Some ships go thru some updates and certain rooms will change.

We are looking forward to more updates! Thank you!
Our countdown to the Freedom is 200 days today. (It started at 726 days:eek:)

On the way to get our car at Alamo, we passed Ken's Pancake House and went back for breakfast...best omelet we have ever eaten, along with Hawaiian pancakes. We had to split this it was so large and since you get 2 pancakes, it was perfect. It was so good, we elected to go back for lunch, equally as yummy, I highly recommend it!!!
Thanks for the great, informative review. I absolutely LOVE the photo of the pancakes! Is that their coconut syrup on them?
We ate there once and absolutely loved that syrup!! Brings back lots of memories. We came home with a bottle of the syrup. Then ordered a bottle to be shipped. The problem was coconut syrup rots really easy and needs lots of refrigeration.....and it was rotten when it got to our door.

I posted this by accident on the roll call.....meant to be here. I hope I don't get in trouble for double posting.
=============================
The story is already changing.
On Whio report they told reporters that she said "Maybe I could go overboard and a dolphin could take me back to shore."
At Truthvoice they said "this is going overboard".
There has to be more to this story. There has to be.
Loaded magazine and overboard threats. What else did they say.
Thank you Royal Caribbean for think of the safety of all passengers.

I am going nuts trying to figure out what a certain icon means on the Royal website.
I go to:
Plan a cruise/Staterooms/Suite/Junior suite
Scroll down to where it says:
Stateroom Category:
JS from 07-Jun-2015 to 24-Apr-2016
?? from 01-May-2016 to 15-Apr-2017
What does the second icon mean? :o

So if he didn't win it, and he clearly knew it was taped, then how is this cheating on RCI's behalf?
Sorry if I sound confused here, but bashing RCI over something so petty sounds wrong. This should be a "life is rough" lesson. Instead of a "go after RCI" instigation. Especially at 12 years old.
