  1. Shows, either Aqua/Ice/Production have often been canceled since the return. ( even pre covid if sea/weather conditions cased a cancellation). Since the return, they don't announce that a show won't happen, it simply isn't listed on the entertainment schedule. If a show is scheduled and sea/weather conditions case the cancellation, they will make an announcement and try to let you know when (if) it will be rescheduled. Some shows have not yet returned, and a few have returned for a cruise, but then taken off the schedule fore the next one. I understand your disappointment. See if there is an aqua showcase, a short display of a dive/synchronized swim and some dancing. M
  2. This is standard practice. Drink what they offer, bring something else or use a drink coupon. While I don’t drink what they offer, I don’t mind the two other alternatives. m
  3. Best wishes on you anniversary and academic achievement. You can add your anniversary as a celebration, but generally that doesn’t provide anything. We have found that even if it is listed, and we want someone to sing and provide a candle on a slice of cake we need to remind the headwaiter. Honestly we don’t bother. Lots of passengers are celebrating milestones or achievements. You can order specific anniversary decorations, cakes, etc from gifts and gear. See the loyalty ambassador on the first cruise so that you get Diamond benefits on the second cruise. m
  4. While that is a nice thought, then why should anyone purchase insurance. Most who need to cancel have some sad or life threatening issue, or would be on a ship. Of course in this case, the reason is a happy one. The original post is a fantastic reason to cancel and I wish the family much happiness.
  5. This worked great for us to keep in touch with extended family who did not want full internet services. $1.99 per person per day. We had the voom package and still had to pay the $1.99 to chat with family. So worth it. We all bought it on the second day but were charged for the full 7 days. M
  6. We were not offered a kids menu at Izumi and the regular kids menu was not available there. M
  7. We were in Harmony and there was no kids menu for Izumi, or at least they didn't offer it to our 8 year old granddaughter. There was a kids menu for Chops with items such as mesclun salad, mushroom soup, steak, chicken breast etc. Not anything like the MDR children's menu posted above. MDR kids menu was not available at Chops. M
  8. Why are you interested in RCCL? RCCL is a family oriented cruise line and that won't change. M
  9. I am surprised that you had not read or heard that the lunch with the officer is replaced with a "cheers with an officer" Generally a greeting to the attendees, introduction of senior staff and a toast. Most of the time they then leave, but a handful of times, they walked around to the various tables for a brief hello. Your menu is somewhat standard for theses events. Not sure why they don't use an RSVP system to get a good headcount. Surprised the count was so low for your sailing . We enjoy the meal but a few times our meal was scheduled for the last sea day, which was also the last day of the crises, and we did not attend. Perhaps one day they will go back to the hosted meal That would be nice. M
  10. No characters, so no meet & greet. And, no parades post Covid m
