  1. It is worth it!! They will send the time and day to your room once on board. You will not be able to know time and date for a chefs table in advance. Steakhouse reservations can be scheduled time and date before you cruise. Do the chefs table at least once. It's a great experience and the food is fabulous and if you are celebrating something let them know at too in when you book it. We did our anniversary on one of them. They did stuff to recognize our anniversary and my DW gave me more credit than I deserve. She felt special and that's worth every penny!

  2. NCL really needs to get on this. I don't feel like schlepping a case of bottled water on with me. I enjoyed the fact I didn't have to haul it on the Carnival cruise I did last month. I pre-ordered and it was in the cabin upon my arrival. It was simple and painless and the cost was very reasonable. NCL could still make money off a policy like Carnival's but the price gouging going on for bottled water ordered in advance does need to go.

I agree. I will fly to port. So unless somehow between airport and pier I get water which is unlikely you get way overcharged. I do like that Carnival has made it reasonable and I order a couple cases for stateroom and excursions.

Hopefully it's a future NCL improvement.

  3. I will be a new to NCL next year with two NCL cruise. Just looked at bottled water pre cruise pricing. 47 dollars for a 12 pack of water? Tell me this isn't real and can you bring on board water. Having sailed Carnival I know they don't let water be brought but the price of water is reasonably cheap.

What do experienced NCL cruisers do? My DW always wants bottled water in the room and drinks lots of it.

  4. For me, it was the following:

    1) You'll get priority check in/boarding. When I went out of Miami, that was zone 3

    2) There's a meet and greet the first night. Free drinks and the casino hosts goes over the week.

3)Drinks on us card right away

    4) daily drawings for cash, only for premier cruisers

    5) daily gifts in your room. Casino mug, cookies, chocolate covered strawberries, etc.

    6) no charge for putting cash on your S&S card.

I'm sure I'm missing something. Just can't think of what it is.

Can you answer if your guest in your stateroom also gets a drinks on us card for casino?

  5. Yes. July 15 2015'. You can't bring water onboard for safety etc. they have info on CCL site. But you can now buy water at a reasonable price. On my two cruises this summer I did notice you could taste a plastic smell from the water. The water brand is Green River. Wine same rules as always.

  6. Carnival definitely works hard at providing a good vacation. I also enjoy Princess Cruise Line. I like then energy onboard Carnival the most. I will sail NCL next year so I will have an idea about them. Sailed the Allure on RCL and didn't care for it very much. So far Carnival is the best!

  7. Leaving the balcony door open is like flushing the toilet when someone is in the shower. It will effect adjacent rooms and there is clearly a sign asking not to leave the door open. If you must turn the thermostat up so you at least won't be asking e AC to cool the room. Happy cruising!

  8. Sunshine or breeze. Been on both. Both fun ships. Breeze is nicer of the two. Either of those itineraries are fun. Aruba, curaçao, grand Turk. Or breeze with st Maarten etc. the only thin if you go to st. Maarten don't go to Orion beach with kids. Totally nude and semi nude beaches.

  9. We were also on the sailing that got back today and we had a great time. I too have no idea what is all the fuss about the ship being overcrowded. We sailed full and this ship wasn't anymore crowded than the other 7 previous cruises I've gone on. And Grand Turk has to be the most fun stop of all ports! Also, Jamie Dee is the most energetic CD I have ever seen. She was all over the ship leading all kinds of activities!

Great review AmberTeka and sorry for hijacking your review but it was a great cruise and great ship!

Yes Jamie Dee was great and so was Grand Turk. I kept hearing people talk about Jamie Dee. I was like big deal just another CD. She really is a great Cruise Director and lived up to the hype
