Hi, We're sailing on NCL Encore next month and are staying at the LXR. Looking to buy a few bottles of wine to take on the ship. Can anyone recommend a place close to the pier or hotel? We're coming in a day early so we have time to shop. Thanks.

Also sticker shock over here. We have 16 cruises exclusively with Royal but are trying NCL next month. We have an MSC booked for next October. It seems a lot of the cruise lines include at least a basic drink package, Wifi, tips, etc. depending on the line. Royal includes nothing. I'm getting prices twice as high on Royal for the places/dates we were looking at. Looking at it as finding a new friend.

Bird, we have a 3pm flight and paid for transfers through NCL, do you see any benefit to us using the airport check in for our luggage? I don't know if we can do an excursion of Seattle as it says for flights leaving after 3pm.

We have the NCL excursion in Skagway. Can we walk to the end of the pier or do we have to take the shuttle?

I bid the minimum, didn't want it bad enough to go higher, so I won't be upset when it doesn't happen. Thought it would be fun to bid and see what happened.

Mine still says pending for our 10/22 Encore cruise but when I check the availability on The Haven on NCL is shows they are sold out.

I know I believe you. My agent told me you have no choice in what airline, times, or routes you are assigned. Good thing I have flyer miles. I wasn't dealing with that.

Also from Ohio. Bathroom/Restroom is interchangeable for me. The first time we went to the UK and I saw signs for the Toilets, I thought, how rude!

I got an email from NCL yesterday stating my White Pass Railway excursion was changed to the White Pass Train going to Inspiration Point due to operational needs. I can't see what the difference would be other than the destination?

Absolutely! We're going to Alaska partly because I've seen most all of the Caribbean ad nauseam and that's where you can get to from a Florida port other than a TA and we unfortunately don't get that kind of vacation time to use all at once. We always said we would do Alaska when we got old. I guess late 50's is old.

I'm worn out traveling virtually with you. How long is the flight to DFW? BTW, DFW, my favorite airport in the world. I could spend my vacation in that airport and be perfectly happy.
