  1. Thanks for your reply. It works fine when booking shore excursions. I get my $50.00 US off plus 15%. I will wait until I get on board. I have 60 minutes free already and we'll be on shore 7 days out of 10 so I probably don't really need more then. I really need it only for emails. Take care, happytotravel
  2. Thanks All, I went as far as checking out and the price was still $140.00 and I didn't want to go any further. I would think that the discounted amount should show up like it does when booking shore excursions and you reach the check out area. I don't really want to put in my CC number before knowing the real price. I probably don't need more than my original 60 minutes anyway since we will be ashore 7 days out of 10. Looking forward to my cruise like everyone else these days. happytotravel
  3. Hi All, I posted this over at Norwegian Cruise line but thought I'd also ask here. I presently have 60 minutes free and am Sapphire so would get 20% off of a purchase. I looked at 250 minutes which would be $140.00C. When I went to book the price remained the same. There was no 20% discount. Any thoughts? thanks, happytotravel
  4. Hi All, I was looking at possibly purchasing 250 minutes of internet time. I already have 60 minutes from a promo and would get 20% off from any purchase being Sapphire. I tried booking to see what the final price would be. Original price for this is $140.00 Canadian. When I go to pay the price remains the same without showing 20% off. Any explanation? Thanks, happytotravel
  5. My thoughts exactly! Folks should enjoy the beach and the fun of it. They can watch TV or movies when they get home. This is a cruise!!!!! Take care, happytotravel
  6. Hi All, My cruise is in September from Montreal to NY with Air Canada. I'm planning to travel with only a carry-on this time. It's enough hoping the flight is on time, as the the cruise is the same day, without worrying if the luggage shows up. Yes, I know I should have booked the day before, like other years, but unfortunately I didn't. I'll just keep my fingers crossed. happytotravel
  7. Hi, How did you get this letter? Was it in your cabin? Thanks, happytotravel
  8. Thanks everyone. I'll bring a book from home but always like to see what's available on the ship. On one cruise I was introduced to Erin Hunter's "Warrior Cat" series and now have all but the latest book. It's a great series even if you are now "young at heart". Enjoy whatever cruise you are planning! happytotravel
  9. Sorry, I started to write but accidentally hit the reply button. I started to say mine is a 12:30 also but a month earlier! It was a pleasant surprise to see that this was really a free trip when I booked. Hope your cruise will be wonderful! happytotravel
  10. I'm sure the Observation Lounge would be a nice quiet place to read if you brought your own books. When I was Iooking at the deck plans I couldn't find a "library" as on other NCL ships. My download copy of the ship's guide shows it should be on deck 6. Take care, happytotravel
  11. Hi, I'm on the Joy in September and am Sapphire. My excursion in St. John NB on the Trolley is free since I get $50.00 off plus my 15% as well. So, there is at least one excursion that really is free. Take care, happytotravel
  12. Hi, Does the Joy have a library? Thanks, happytotravel
  13. Glad you were able to get a flight. My flight isn't until Sept 06 into NY and I'm checking every day now to see how things are going. There's always a chance the cancellation email doesn't go out. I normally go a day early, BUT of course, this time I booked same day. Hope I'm not sorry. happytotravel
  14. Same thing to us in October 1999. There was a hurricane heading to Bermuda. Lucky for us, if I can say that, as my husband got sick in Halifax and had to be hospitalized for a week. Our travel insurance was great. They even had someone bring our car back to Quebec from Boston. A lesson there, never cruise without insurance. happytotravel
  15. Hi, You can check the port schedule for Charlottetown to see what ships are in when you are there. I am there on Sept 09 on the Norwegian Joy and it shows only that ship in that day. Take care, happytotravel
  16. Pier 21 the Immigration Museum is right at the port and is a great place to check out. happytotravel
  17. HI, St John, New Brunswick you can just walk into town as well. You can also just google each town asking "what to do". LGW59's copy of itinerary isn't the one for our cruise. I'm sure we're all looking forward to a great time on shore. happytotravel
