  1. I hate this!!! I did figure out the difference in the PH and VS cabins. The VS does not have that desk in the living area and i used it all the time in Alaska.

I better decide fast before they are all gone.

One last question. Are all the midship cabins pretty much the same? We are doing the 14 day Caribean Collection. Is port any better - I love watching from my balcony as we come into and leave ports.

I really think 737 might be neater being on the side. My dh isn't much of a help. He just said that our tans will be gone by then so he'd like to get sun.

It's so much easier when there is only one cabin left.

  2. I like the hike. We didn't gain any weight last week and we did a lot of drinking.

With the fully covered balcony, will we be able to get some sun?

I just e-mailed my TA about switching. I booked it on the ship the last day (last half hour of her office hours) and she really didn't offer me any choices of cabins. Said "you're in a suite so you could have B748"

  3. See if you can get D736 or D737 a VS suite. It will be a little less $ and I guarantee you will love it. Huge balcony, partial beam obstruction to one side but no big deal. We have hosted the Ultimate Balcony Dinner on these balconies for 8 persons. Super private, quiet, and the best view of the wake.

WOW thanks for the suggestion. I saw that D737 was open (there really are a lot open) and noticed that it was 495 sq ft and B748 was 468 sq ft and it costs more.

What room is that extra sq ft in?

  4. I would change.

absolutely no shelves in the bathroom.

    Mike:)

Was the bathroom smaller than the other suites? Our last one (and first suite) has shelves on each side of the big mirror.

That's kind of why I asked the difference between the premium and penthouse suites. Where is that extra 64 sq feet. I wish Princess would have pictures of some of those cabins. For what we pay, they should be ablle to send us a better description and pictures, especially when they have so many different layouts of suites.

  5. I am so confused. I want the aft stateroom so bad because we are boaters and would love to sit and watch the wake. From the deck plan, the balcony looks very large - there are only four cabins across the stern.

We just had a suite on the Coral and the balcony was very large, with the table and chairs and two loungers, there was still plenty of room. It was about half way back from midship.

I've heard of people saying that cabin had a loud noise from the vent but not a smell.

I have two votes to stay and two votes to move. I'm too old for this!

  6. we are sailing on the Grand in November and have B748. First time in an aft but am wondering if we should switch to a midship which is called a penthouse suite and a little more money, alsy 64 more sq feet.. It is not the owners suite. Ours is a premium suite. What is the difference between the cabins.

Someone please help me decide about B748. We will be on for two weeks and have been to all the islands so we plan just to chill out on the balcony but if it is that loud, it could ruin the trip. And does anyone know the difference in them or have photos?? thanks

  7. How about the Porcini Mushroom Soup or the Fruit Tartlets that they have daily on the buffet? Are either of those recipes in the cookbook?

I just found it also. Thanks for sending it to KSCPA. My scanner died so it would have taken a while to type it. We must have the same cookbook. Does yours have the linguine al pesto alla moda ligure on the cover? It's the third edition from 2006. We got it on our cruise in 2008.

I wonder if they come out with new recipes every year?

no tartlets or low fat dressings.
