Am I able to take my card and my mom's to get us each a drink at a bar or do they require her to be present?

my pet peeve with CHEERS is you cant get an alcoholic beverage and non alcoholic bev at the same time. I don't think they should lock out non alcoholic. Its a pain to wait 5 mins to get a bottle of water also with your Pina Colada. My second pet peeve is the free drink coupon you get as Gold or Platinum - its not needed if you have the drink package.
Previous posters have said you can get a water with an alcoholic drink...?!
-
yes, Texas and Alabama do not. Maybe NY but don't know that one for sure.
The site says Texas and NYC, nothing about Alabama. ?!

While I'm not Bob....I can answer at least one part of your question......
They are doing away with the Concierge Lounge on deck 9 and adding 4 inside cabins there. RCI is converting a room (rooms) in the Viking Crown Lounge (Maybe the old 7 Hearts) to the new Suite Lounge.
I find this website invaluable when looking at deck plans and cabin layouts:
Thanks.
Wonder when those rooms will have the first occupants

We also enjoy Arnold Palmers or rather John Dalys and just buy a bottle of vodka from the Fun Shops online. Much, much less expensive than Cheers. You can also order a bottle from room service while onboard.
Oh I like wine and martinis too. But when people drink beer by the pool I have my vodka.
I'll definitely get my $$ worth for cheers. I used discounted gift cards so I theoretically paid $45/day

Yes, they open the ‘bottled’ beer. You can only get one - no buckets.
Bottled water is not served open. And yes, you can get the bottled water WITH your alcoholic drink.

Thanks. Not worried about the beer... I'm a vodka girl!!! 🍻😁
Just realized I never said bottled water in my first post. Oops! Thanks for reading between the lines

Sailing on Carnival for the second time in Nov, first w/ the Cheers! program (had several times on RCI).
I was looking at the 'fine print' of the program and it states that all cans and bottles will be served open. In your experience, are bottles really opened? Was hoping to grab some for excursions/beach days.
Also, can you order an alcoholic drink w/ a bottle of water at the same time or is there still a 5 min wait? Not looking to skim or cheat, I just like to bring my own water enhancers to make my own cocktails w/ vodka (Arnold Palmers anyone?! :) )

Definitely has blue Curacao in it.
My go to drink is vodka, blue Curacao, sour mix w a splash of sprite. Supposed to have blueberry schnapps as well, but most bars do not stock it.
Looks like a blue margarita - a margarita with Blue Curaçao.Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Yes, it is All Inclusive and there are many restaurants and bars. Traveling solo I thought it was worth it. I like to check out properties to see if they are a good option to take a vacation to.

Fwiw, in recent memory I have only seen 4 singers on rci ships. I also have never sailed oasis class and do not recall seeing a show outside of wwry on anthem

Waiting to watch Hot Ice in Studio B. There are several different times for the show but this first one has a big crowd waiting for doors to open. Thirty min before show doors not yet open.

Do you reserve the time you want or is it first come first serve

FYI, its 45 degrees in Columbus this morning and I'm at work, so enjoy your day!
I'm looking forward to Antiqua. The only time I was there, a friend picked the worst excursion ever, I can't wait to get back to see more of the island.
I booked the lobster lunch catamaran excursion w beach breaks. Had a blast!

Nov 5 Grandeur is slated to be the first ship to dock in St. Maarten.
(May have misunderstood your post!)

Really enjoying your review. Do you travel solo often? I am taking Adventure in May as my second solo. What dining option did you choose? (did I miss this?!)
THANKS!

First time on Carnival.. I have a 1230 check in time. No priority, no FTTF. What is a realistic time I can expect to be on-board, provided the ship is on time and the stars all align?
Also, I sailed Grandeur last month. There were only two lines to pay for parking and no cash only option. Is it different for Carnival sailings?
TIA!

wait are you saying thats the normal seating for separate parties of 2. who would design such a horrible thing. wow.
ill def be asking for a more private table. i cannot imagine the discomfort of being in the middle there. totally awkward. what if the rear center person has to get out lol.seriously.
Slide the table to one side.. been there.. done that!

Just a wild shot, but do you know if they will give me the cheese plate with a cloche to take back to the room? I have to have some protein with my evening meds. I probably would only do it one or two nights, as it would last more than one night in the small frig.
I took dessert back several times when I was too full at dinner but wanted something sweet later.
Cheese plate should be on the dessert menu so ask for it to go!

Your review is fantastic and I am ready to pull the trigger on a last minute booking on Anthem for my 10 year old and I. Did you notice if there were enough things to do for kids on the ship? That's my main concern, enough to keep her happy that is already included, I don't want to have to spend much extra each day. I was told Anthem is known for 'nickel and diming' everything once you are on board, but I have no idea since this would be my first RC cruise.
Anthem has a ton included.. the ifly (sky diving), flowriders, bumper cars, trapeze school, puzzle room, kids club spaces... BOOK IT!

I read that lunch at Chops was being rolled out to the entire fleet. I've not seen a menu.
Post 92 has the menu. Limited offerings.

Regarding the obc, did you booked w a nonrefundable deposit? I'm guessing the $50 was tied to a promo from rcl while the $175 was strictly from your ta.
Great report.
