Just got off the phone with a NCL rep who stated that the couple spa pass price is $199, and $119 pp for 7 days on the Epic. The rep further stated that there is no other additional charge tacked on to this, such as 18% that is added to treatment charges. However, a previous guest states in his blog that his March 2012 sailing charged $253 per couple. Can anyone that has been recently aboard the Epic confirm how much the spa passes are, and whether there are additional charges tacked on to the price?
ours have always been $199. and no 18% .He might have gotten extra spa treatments which do have the 18% on them

With the terraced balconies on the Breakaway deck 9 will have everyone from above looking down on you. I would select 13 or 14. 14 the most privacy but under the Garden Cafe.
on the const pics deck 9 is mostly covered like 14 and the bal is longer

I have looked in detail at the deck plans and see no difference in size. Deck plans are never exact and only representative. I will know for sure on April 28th.
Look at the const pics you can see the bal are larger

I'm looking into booking a room on the Breakaway, and I was wondering if it was worth it to spend an extra $100 a person for an aft balcony. I've never had an aft balcony, so I didn't know if they are worth the extra money or not.
Thank you for your help in making the decision.
Well worth it Go deck 9 or 12

If OP is cruising from MIA and flys into FLL it is about 45-60 minutes to get to the port.
Also Southwest doesn't have service to MIA.
Bill
I live in Fl and drive to Miami a lot it only takes 20 to 25 unless traffic is almost at a standstill then maybe 45-50 but if its that bad it will take the same from mia

Sailed the Epic a few months ago & LOVED it so much we booked our family & friends for Feb. 2013 - week NY schools closed (some of us have jobs in schools so must go when school's out). Most I've ever paid to go to FL was around $300. round trip. Fuel's high so we figured we may be paying near $400 r/t.
Delta released their fares shortly after midnight for flights on Friday evening, Feb. 13th. $550. ONE WAY to Miami!!! That still leaves the return fare on Sat. 2/21 as an unknown. Come on! Are people really going to pay a grand pp to get to and from Florida?? Then the cost of the cruise?
Guess we'll be cancelling that cruise : (
Try JetBlue southwest they always have flights for under300 but as others have said your looking too early also try flying into fort lauderdale (FTl)fairs are cheaper and only a 5to10 min travil distance to the port

Clay, Did you hear any music from the Observation Lounge? I must admit that I took a good long look at these cabins but DH was concerned that they might be below the dance floor in the Observation Lounge.
(We eventually decided to book a B1, so we fully expect to live happily ever after.:))
We had no noise at all in this room. Liked it so much we booked it for 3 more cruises

Does anyone have pictures of the "overhang"? I'm still trying to get an idea of how exposed/public the balcony is. Thanks!
They can only see you head and you have to be right up next to the rail standing up other then that its totally private

None of the balconies on the Dawn wrap around any longer. :(
Not exactly so:rolleyes: You can unlock the divider and walk around there.

Just a mention here of how some suite people monopolize their butler's time without any consideration for the other guests. Its just common courtesy and common sense. On one of our trips there was a family in a suite who demanded a full breakfast every morning served in their suite. Which yes, they are entitled to it, but they also had other family members join them from their regular rooms (they constantly bragged about it, that's how we know). (& I've seen here on cruise critic how people say to have the meals served in your suite because other family members who are not eligible to eat at Cagney's for breakfast & lunch, can then join them.) Our butler was just frantic that whole week and kept apologizing to us. We are not that needy so it wasn't a big deal. Its just a sad situation when people have that entitlement mentality.
We usually tell our butler at the beginning of the week what our plans will probably be and sometimes our plans have changed. And I've gotten the comment that its not necessary and also I've been told it was much appreciated while he was writing it down in his little planner. Having dinner served in your suite is a great treat, you do want to take advantage of that perk. Its also nice if you're going on an excursion and get back mid afternoon. Then your butler can get your lunch which also depends on if all his other suite guests don't have the same idea. Depending on the ship you're on, for late night snacks, I think its a lot faster just to go get something yourself.
Attitude is everything. If you treat your butler with the respect he deserves, your vacation will be that much happier.

I found a pic. there is no glass rail on epic bulkhead http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/showphoto.aspx?photoid=172183&size=full

No glass railing.
Your observations were correct. Just call your TA and switch rooms.
Yes they also have glass railing but the balcony are cut out of the bulkhead so the opening is smaller but the glass railing is the same

Is there any difference between these rooms? We are currently booked in 10164 but noticed that 10166 has opened up. Anyone know if there is a noticeable difference? Thanks in advance!
No, they are the same. BIG balcony:) Great rooms.
