  1. My upcoming cruise was booked through a TA. If I watch the website and see a price drop can I call RC directly and get an adjustment or would I have to go through my TA?

You must call TA, very important to make sure your TA is open 7 days a week. Very important that anyone in TA's office can make a change when your TA is on a day off.

  2. Stay tuned, my guess is everything goes down in the next few days. If they don't go down Royal will be cruising with a lot of empty ships. The prices right now are double from last year on most cruises. People will jump to other cruise lines when they can get a balcony for a price that can't even get you on a Royal ship. I am not concern because I am on Oasis on the July 4th week for 828.00 per person. Try and get that in the last month with the big sale.

  3. Has anyone had good results by booking a balcony room at the guaranteed rate? They are cheaper rates but you let RCL pick the room.

I did a last minute balcony guarantee on Freedom. Best cabin ever, they gave me a handicap balcony. The cabin was the size of a large hotel room. The bathroom was very large.

  4. My advise to anyone who has this card is to get rid of it and be done with it. Get a Capital One card and pay all your bills and purchases with it. Do your homework and learn about Capital One. Basically you get 2% of all your purchases towards any type of travel. I get $3000 worth of free travel every year. No standing on your head, and jumping through hoops like the RCCL card. Capital One is a very simple process.

  5. I'm planning on booking either the Oasis or the Allure and was wondering what the differences are and if one is better than the other. Any info would be appreciated. Not worried about the itinerary or the size of the ship. Thanks. :)

They are pretty much the same ship. I was on Allure two years ago and I am going on Oasis this July. The main reason for Oasis this year is because I don't want to see the same shows again. You can't make a bad decision with these two ships. If I was you, I would choose the ship strictly by price and the best deal is the way I would go.

  6. I start out by booking an inside cabin for a great price about 8 months out. I can live with an inside if I get a great price. Now i can book my airfare because I know I am going on that date and ship. I use a monitor system to check prices and I try to get a balcony when the prices come down, usually will cost me 1 to 2 hundred. If the price don't come down I stay inside. I am inside on Oasis on June 28 for 828.00 per person. The least expensive to get on the ship today is 1389.00. This process has worked for me on my last 5 cruises. It only works if your ok with an inside and an upgrade from there is a bonus. Right now 828.00 for that date is the least expensive price that anyone has payed. That is a good feeling for me, it makes me fill like I am beating RCC at there own game.

  7. Myself, hubby and 2 sons, 10 and 9, are currently booked on the August 3 sailing of Allure. We have a D2 Oceanview Balcony booked for $6050 with $450 Shipboard Credit...I just saw that I can cancel and change to 2 connecting Central Park balconies for $6200 and $430 Shipboard Credit...I put a 24 hr hold on those 2 rooms. What should I do?? I've had an Oceanview Balcony before, mainly because my husband smokes...which he can no longer do. Should I switch and have more space and 2 bathrooms? Can the connecting door be left open at all times so the rooms are always "together?" Also, all 3 rooms are midship on deck 10. Any and all opinions welcomed😃. Thanks

I would go with one Central Park Balcony $3000 and go on a Back to Back cruise or save the difference for next cruise. For me this is not even a question what I would do. Go on two cruises.

  8. You may not agree but theft is against the rules. If all you got was a slap on the wrist the cruise line is screwed because other people will decide they may as well cheat too. Lose your vacation & an example has been set for everyone.

Call it what ever you want, theft or one too many drinks on your card they figure that in the price. It will be very hard to prove and they are not taking you off the ship.

  9. The number crunchers have a solid figure for the average number of drinks consumed by people with the package. With decent programming (difficult for Royal, I know), they can easily generate a list of all cards exceeding that number. If consumption remains consistently high, all they have to do is flag the card & it's owner to be watched. You'll be off the ship @ the next port...............

    What are you smoking?
