  1. Just linked the warnings. I did not write them. I am glad you had no issues.
  2. Istanbul https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/turkey-travel-advisory.html https://www.smartraveller.gov.au/destinations/europe/turkiye Years ago we did Ephesus (docked in Kusadasi) and enjoyed the history but Istanbul is not for us.
  3. Please re-read. I said "When you tip extra for a drink (as 20% is already added), it does not go to the bartender (unless you leave cash)." Do what you want.
  4. I would choose 2 or 3. I have no desire to be anywhere near Turkey.
  5. When you tip extra for a drink (as 20% is already added), it does not go to the bartender (unless you leave cash). There is no name on the bill, it just goes into the gratuity pool that all gratuities go into. I think that the bartender notices but, it does not go to him/her, it goes to the giant tip pot.
  6. Yup, stock photo, just posted it so others can see all the "stuff" in Polaris class you speak of . 🙂
  7. OK. My experiences have been very good. Sorry yours were not. If you sit in your seat the entire flight surrounded by all your "stuff" then you are you. I take what I need and call the flight attendant to take the excess. I have never had a flight attendant in business class not try to accommodate us. Oh and I have flown Polaris class and used some of the items and the others were taken away.
  8. Well, I have flown business class many times and you really do not get "a lot more stuff". And the "stuff" you get is quickly picked up by the the flight attendant if you give it to them instead of throwing on the floor. You s=do not need to sit in squalor. It is a personal choice, that is my point. Be a slob or be neat and tidy.
  9. I too am surprised when I walk past open doors and the cabin is a disaster area. I also note that when walking past the business class section of an aircraft and it is a mess as well. Is it certain people that think they are entitled and they do not have to clean or pick up after themselves? Curious if they are like that at home?
  10. Not playing word games with you. You did say "They do drop prices" when I spoke of my specific case in post #49 and I gave you my specific results.
  11. I beg to differ. I have kept very close tabs on the cost, hoping for a price drop. I used CruisePlum as well. Since last June, there has been no price drop on our Jan Panama cruise in a Family Balcony cabin, regardless of the numerous 1/2 off, 2nd passenger free or whatever else they have had on sale. When I do the trial booking, the price has been identical. So, I am quite sure the price does not go down
  12. We bought our cruise last June for January. Every other day we got email about a sale. Even Black Friday sales. None of the "sales" were cheaper for the cruise than what we paid in June. Yes it is marketing but the real question is, when is a sale not a sale and I think NCL never has a sale LOL
  13. Thanks, that is good to know. One bag for the cruise or one each week? We are on a 15 day cruise.
  14. Somewhere I read there are other perks to Club Balcony cabins. I thought I read you get a free laundry bag once a week. Is this correct?? This will only be our third NCL cruise so I am not even sure what "status" we have.
  15. I pick for itinerary and if the ship has no waterside, all the better. No go karts and laser tag even better LOL
  16. We were upgrades to a suite in the aft corner of a ship (Not NCL). On a higher deck. We loved the fact it was a free upgrade. How great is that LOL Unfortunately, it is a long way to anywhere. There is also exaggerated movement during choppy seas. We had soot from the exhaust on the deck furniture, deck and railings. Our friends on a lower aft deck said they felt the propellers, especially early in the mornings while docking.
  17. What sale? NCL has had two for one or 50% off for over a year (maybe even longer). We booked our January cruise back in June and it is on sale now...for more than we paid in June LOL Yes, I tried booking exact cabin (just next door) and all the free at sea and all the stuff we have now. More by over $1000 (for the two of us)
  18. I suspect ongoing issues in the Middle East has NCL rethinking this cruise. I would certainly contact them.
  19. The airlines are full because they reduced their fleets and routes. They are full on the remaining fleets and reduced routes.
  20. 100% correct. Understand NCL is a product and their responsibility is to their shareholders. Only if they lose customers will there be any changes to increase food and services.
  21. I apologize if I wrote something that could be misinterpreted. Not my intent and not proper wording. I did change the words, in a later post.
  22. You are correct. If I have discussed topics, it was in response to what others have said and to reiterate or to provide answers. Is your mandate to become some sort of posting police? And to misinterpret what people say??
  23. And where on there did I say "The OP has posted in the past that they don't book the BOGO offer because NCL doesn't compensate you for your cruise if you miss because of delays or cancellations from the airline they put you on. "? Those discussions were on booking with NCL and issues that have arisen to others. My ancillary question was "We also will not be using the free airfare part as we have sufficient loyalty points with an airline and can get a better schedule for us. "
  24. I asked a question. I did not complain. You are reading far too much into something that is not there. It was a question. Yes, you misinterpreted. I have never posted such a thing. You are mistaken.
